And how do they end that one while making both guys look strong? No contest?

    Roman interference

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 42,960 Mod ✭✭✭✭Lord TSC

I'd imagine Brawn interferes in Romans match first, and then Roman returns the favour at the end of the show.

EDIT: Wait, no, Brawn and Roman aren't feuding...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,291 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Yeah, Braun has no reason to interfere in Roman's match. Though the interference could be from Cena being out to watch Roman's match leading interference and/or Roman being out for Cena's and interfering.
Either way, why is Cena/Braun a Raw match?!?
I would like to hear them on the mike. Be hard for Cena to criticise what Braun has done. Unlike Roman, Braun has pretty much shown he belongs where he is

Excitement levels through the roof for this as usual I see! Not working tomorrow so tuning in for a while but can't see how I'll last three hours.

The Fantays league made me hate some results. Particularly the fact so many people captained Enzo. Not topping Raw this week :(

I've started skipping through Cena/Reigns promos. There's some funny lines but it's too much now. Reigns vs Jordan was really good. Brawn killing Cena was good booking, as was Brawns complete no sell of the German. I love that story; it took so long for Brock to hit he supped on him, and when he did, Brawn still didn't care. Sets Brawn up as a monster.

Miz killing Enzo was fun, but two "shoot" angles is too much. Auska to Raw has me all sorts of worried.

Alexa will end Asuka's streak in their first match.

    Mark my words.

I was so hoping Jason Jordan would trip over his laces when they came undone and fall flat on his face.

Is Miz one of the best at promos ever? When he gets going there is very few who can top him, in my opinion.

He tore Enzo to ribbons last night, and Cena a few weeks ago.

Is maith liom Mike Mizanin. He's a justified in a lot of what he says in my eyes. Could easily be a tweener type, I think he is actually. Most of what he says is true. Remember he talked about Brock Lesnar during the Royal Rumble match when on commentary. He said, why would I get in there with someone who could rip me apart? Nah, I'm gonna pick my spot and jump in when it suits me. Chap has done amazingly well for himself... and that;s without mentioning Maryse.

I thought Brock did a great job selling. His facial expression after Strowman no sold the German Suplex was great. When Brock sees money in an opponent he puts the effort in. I'm keen to see how they book the finish of the match at the PPV.

I love Miz. It's a shame he's on Raw tbh, cause the main event is so stacked there. He'd easily be a brilliant top level champ on Smackdown, surrounded by the likes of Styles, Nakamura and Owens.

Yep I'm fully signed up to Miz Club also. He actually comes across as a sound chap when he's out of character too. Fair play to him.

Yep totally agree, been a miz fan for years, really wish he was back on smackdown instead of messing around with the likes of enzo, bo dallas and curtis axel

Can anyone link me a great Miz match?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 61,272 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

The Miz around 2010/11/12 was having great matches with Morrison and Bryan.

Last years Extreme Rules 4 way the Miz was the standout for over Owens, Zayn & Cesaro.

The WWE have always held him back nearly every single time he has gotten to the glass ceiling the put him back.

This is my issue with him too. He is very effective at making the most out of the scripts he is given and he has very good delivery, but at the end of the day the purpose of a promo is to promote a match, and I just never find myself thinking, "I can't wait to see Miz's match against X." As a worker he's not great. His kicks that he does when he imitates Daniel Bryan are very poor.

I also find it difficult to take him seriously given that he looks like a guy that a lot of random dudes on the street could beat up. That's fine for a certain level of heel but a WWE champion imo should look like they could handle themselves in a fight, or else be absurdly talented to cover up that shortcoming (like Styles or Michaels). People might say a chicken sh*t heel doesn't need that, but if we take Ric Flair, probably the standard for that persona, he was a guy that could handle himself in a fight, as can be seen in his match with Vader where he really did have to fight back as Vader stiffed him throughout the bout. I can't imagine Miz handling that situation at all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,291 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Cena's drug test mention was funny.

Braun once again looking a monster. The reaction for the suplex no-sell was great.

Anyone else hoping Angle jumped the gun and Smackdown will air an Asuka promo tonight saying she's coming to Smackdown, starting a dispute with Cory caught in the middle?

Probably cause he does that intentionally. If he laid them in the fans would start to say YES but he clearly does it to get booed.

I don't believe he is intentionally doing bad kicks.

That is downfall of The Miz is that he has neither really had any standout matches in his career.

It be would hard to come up with a match list for a potential DVD down the line.

I don't think Miz can put on five star matches. But then thats not nessecarily why I'd back him as a top level heel.

For me, he's one of the best talkers in the WWE right now. I think he gets genuine heel heat (not "Go away" heat, nor Kevin Owens heat where the crowd cheer him despite being a bad guy). I think when he goes against Babyfaces, the faces come out with the crowd behind him. He might not be a mat technician, but I guarantee if they gave him top level storylines, then both he and the faces he'd be up against would look like stars. There's too many heels who the crowd go nuts for; Owens and Strowman are the top two "heels" on their shows right now, and the crowd cheer them like total babyfaces.

Miz is a proper old school villain, utterly despised but in a way that makes people want to see him get his ass kicked. Put him in feuds with Nakamura or Styles, and I'd guarantee the feuds would be top tier, with crowds way more invested than they are in matches like Jinder/Nakamura.

    Spot on.

I agree with everything Lord said. Hes never gonna win any match awards in the observer, but when given the right platform and feud he can be top tier. His feud with Dolph Ziggler was a great example of how he can work and deliver from start to finish in a feud. Hes not the ass kicker or the monster heel, hes the cowardly yet smart heel who goes above and beyond to win by any means he can, esp if it pisses the fans off.

He made a feud with Dolph Ziggler, who to be fair hasnt been in a top feud in a long time or looked fresh in a long time prior to this feud, and made it work. Both brought the best out of each other to the point where there were many calls for Miz to feud with AJ or Cena over the gold on SDL.

Even Cena gave The Miz a shout out a week ago during his promo on Reigns, giving him props for earning what he has while Reigns had it all handed to him.

He is probably going to get the record for longest reigning (cumulative days of all his title reigns) IC champ too as they noted he is catching up on that on air recently.

He has put in the work and is getting the recognition. I don't think he will ever be the guy to carry a 5* match but maybe he can carry a feud on the mic while hopefully his opponent can be the one make the match stellar. That said he could possibly be the level under main event forever too

Love to see the Miz getting so much credit here lately, I've long been a huge fan of his work and I'm delighted to see that the majority of people here feel the same way now.

There's a lot of main event level feuds that Miz would excel in, but I think it'd be a crime against pro-wrestling if we never get to see Daniel Bryan make a return to wrestling and finish what they started on Talking Smack. That'd honestly be the most legitimate WrestleMania main event in a good while (get a world title involved too), and an all-time classic feud, provided they'd be given the same creative freedom they were on TS.

Loved the roasting he gave to Enzo this week anyway, it just goes to show that between his promo and the Cena/Reigns stuff, shooting is the absolute best way to get a crowd invested in you and your feud. It's almost as if these tremendous athletes with little to no acting experience are being held back by having every word they speak manufactured and scripted by an out-of-touch pensioner who as a terrific businessman, has absolutely no reason to be micro-managing the creative aspects of the company as well.

Good Raw though. 8/10. I fcuking love Braun Strowman. :)

Basically miz is the modern day razor Ramone/Scott hall ( I know miz has a world title to his name)

First one was cool because it was unexpected and a break from the norm but doing it weekly and on twitter is just trying too hard.
