Maybe this has been mentioned before, but occasionally, when a post is quoted, the white 'sideways arrow' beside the username in the quoted post is missing - so we cannot click on that arrow to go to the post that has been quoted.

Here's an example: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=99892810&postcount=108 There is no link to purplepanda's post itself.

Is this a bug or are people choosing to delete the code that acts as a link to the original post?

If, to save effort, you manually type:

    osarusan wrote:
    *insert post here*

Then it won't include a link to the post - to include the link to the post, it needs the post identifier, like so:

That's fair enough...but why would people not just click on 'quote'?

It might be that after clicking quote and editing the post they deleted the post number reference by accident and just closed the square bracket.

So it's probably not any kind of bug then, but down to the actions of the posters.

Usually I'm part-way through typing a post, when I want to include a snippet from someone else, so it's less effort to just do it manually.

On touch site, I never see an option to click to a quoted post?

Why is the boards.ie header so big on the desktop version?? Looks ridiculous having a big blue header followed by another big header of random colour below it.

Is there anyway to view the talk to forums as a mobile site using the new mobile site? It just loads the desktop version of the talk to forums on my phone.. Which is annoying and it has only recently started to let me switch to the legacy mobile site on my phone it wouldn't let me do that before.

Not sure if this is a new problem:

On touch, if I include a link in a post that starts with www (instead of http://www), the link is corrupted by being concatenated with a boards link.

    E.g.

    www.boards.ie - corrupted

    versus

    http://www.boards.ie - OK

Both work for me. As in I clicked both links and was brought to boards.ie I am on new mobile site.

On the touch site, this is the corrupted link:

That happened to me a while back when posting pictures on the legacy site, but then I just got into the habit of checking that the http part had been included.

This week's update has been moved into a new thread because stuff's getting lost in this one. Thanks folks.
