Hope they have more creativity now to make the film that the original only hinted at.

The latest addition is Elizabeth Debicki, the tall Austalian actress from The Great Gatsby and The Man From U.N.C.L.E., and who is currently starring in The Night Manager on BBC with Hugh Laurie and certain Tom Hiddleston. So far, there's only speculation about her character.

Wonder if Deadpool will bump up the violence, if the script is done it prolly wont head to darker themes from the comics.

Some slightly spoilery casting news here. Is Ms. Debicki, at only 6'2", tall enough to play
    Ayesha
    ?

Pratt wrapped yesterday it's the last week of principal filming that tweet was just the first hint of that to be released.

    Why?

The way it was phrased, "I'll miss you, buddy", as if we wouldn't be seeing him in future installments.

More likely James Gunn won't see him for a while, they'd hardly give something like a major character death away like that.

He said 'Whew'? Clearly an unhappy director who didn't enjoy the shoot. I doubt he'll be back for Vol 3. 😜

    James Gunn has confirmed that
Thanos will not appear in this movie at all

I'd imagine the next time we see Thanos will be Thor: Ragnarok.

Yeah maybe you're right.. I really hope they do him justice.. the MCU hasn't been doing well with the Villains bar Loki so far...

Are we allowed speculate here if you are a comic reader before i go further?

Yeah it would've been nice to see something from the film, but we're not getting anything anytime soon according to James Gunn - his reasoning is fair enough though...
“Of course, I want to share everything with you guys, it’s important to me to be able to do that. But here’s the thing: the footage we released at Comic-Con will eventually be seen by the public but in a more finished form. It’s very early days, we’ve only been stopped shooting for a month… The visual effects are not finished. I am a perfectionist. People who follow me know that everything needs to be exactly how I want it to be to be seen in a film, so that it stands up to repeated viewings. And the truth is this Comic-Con footage… it’s not something that I nor Marvel are comfortable with being out there and standing up to repeated viewings. The visual effects just aren’t finished. If I do something, I want to do it 100% correctly. However, to sit in the audience one time with an excited crowd and show them an in-progress piece of film, it’s a different story.”

    Bump!

    Teaser trailer!

    Very... "teasery!"

Supposedly a longer trailer will drop between now and when DR. Strange is out so hopefully they keep it teasery and not too much is given away.

That was an example of a great trailer showed absolutely **** all of the plot and showed the tone which is the same as the last one and had a few nice little moments in there ...Yep im psyched

Love Groot in that poster. Can't wait to see what they do with him now that he's mini-Groot.

I'd say it's more likely that Zoe Saldana wasn't there when that was taken. I'd have doubts about Chris Pratt too.

    Tango and Cash reunion

Nathan Fillion is listed in cast on IMDB as Simon Williams, major role or cameo?

Supposedly it's just a cameo, he may even be just appearing on posters in the background but it does reveal that a section of the film takes place on Earth.

He was in the first one as well. That blue alien guy who got Groots roots up his nose. It'd be cool if there was a wanted poster for Mal Reynolds :P

Right now I can safely say Baby Groot is going to be the biggest selling toy in 2017.

    From James Gunn's Facebook page
Holy crap! With 81 million views in its first 24 hours, the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Teaser Trailer is the SECOND BIGGEST TEASER TRAILER EVER (after Beauty and the Beast), and the biggest Marvel Studios Teaser ever! No kidding - I'm, like, floored. Thank all of you so very much for watching it (more than once), and sharing it, and welcoming Baby Groot and Mantis with open arms. Thanks for all your amazing reactions (including your reaction videos, which Jennifer Holland and I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning watching the other night). Thanks to the wonderful folks at CCXP in Brazil where we debuted the trailer. And finally (yes, I know, it's starting to become like I'm accepting an award - sorry BUT) HUGE THANKS to the smart and kind marketing folks at Marvel and Disney who put up with all my eccentricities during the teaser editing process. Honestly. You guys can't imagine what they deal with. I'm a maniac. Now they're gonna have to deal with it again as we prep the FULL TRAILER...

And even more so as we finish up the MOVIE...

Oh - and the icing on the cake - "Fox on the Run" by Sweet, the song used in the teaser, rose to number one on the iTunes Rock Chart!

Did I mention we debuted on a Saturday when you're NEVER EVER supposed to debut anything?
HAVE A GREAT WEEK and feel free to post your favorite #GotGVol2 Teaser memes below! So many good ones.

Ah Christ he had to go and mention the Reaction Vids, that's only going to encourage them to keep doing these and faking their reactions now they've been validated.
