Dovi signed with ducati for another 2 years....cant say im surprised considering the few issue iannoe has had in the last few races.

    Where will he go now?
Would suzuki take him if vinales does leave?
What other factory ride is left?

Apparently Aprilia have offered Iannone piles of money to sign with them. Aprilia should be a lot better bike next year too.

Didn't think it at all likely that Dani would sign a contract with HRC and not end up on the Repsol, but I hope his legal guys had a good look at it just in case ;)

    KTM?

Fingal County Council are certainly not competent to be making decisions about the most important piece of infrastructure on the island. They need to stick to badly designed cycle lanes and deciding on whether Mrs Murphy can have her kitchen extension.

Iannone confirmed at Suzuki too. It's shaping up to be an awesome 2017. Electronics and Michelin should be in good shape and a lot of riders will be out to prove a point.

Good moves by both parties. Think that Maverick was always going to go to Yamaha but needed to engineer his exit so that caused the delay. Iannone makes so much sense for Suzuki when you look at how strong he was last year. Think both teams have done well with these moves

I really think the lineups across the whole paddock are starting to look really exciting. New talented blood is great for a boost in teams too. It's going to be a great 2017 by the looks of it.

I think Aleix's problem is that Suzuki seem to have a lot of options (contracted or not) for riders and he seems to be a bit down the list. It's a pity because he can be a great rider.

Iannone was fastest in free practice 2.... I think he is out to prove a point this weekend that maybe ducati made a mistake....hopefully he has a good qualifying

I think it was Lorenzo that made that decision rather than Ducati. Lorenzo knew that there is a good chance that Iannone would race him very hard and to be honest could end up taking him out in a race. While Dovi will race him he won't take as much risks as Iannone.

What a motogp Q2. Rossi on pole with vinales in second!

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,467 ✭✭✭h3000

I wonder what odds you could get on Vinales to win the 2017 championship. I'm not normally a betting man but I think that could be worth a shot.

So I see Lorenzo and Marquez think Rossi and Vinales are already working together to tow each other in qualifying. I'm sure Suzuki decide when Maverick goes out and not himself.

Say Rossi is loving this - sure its just pure chance that Vinales benefitted from a Rossi tow and then Rossi benefitted from a Vinales tow......

Such a pity for Rossi and it looked like he had the pace to win it.
    What an brilliant finish though.

Great finish for the race. Very strange for a factory team to blow 2 engines in one weekend????

I wonder if they both blew for the same reason
