Actually think it's doing well. Some healthy numbers and it's most likely 90% inbound.

I think it was aimed at the inbound German market as opposed to the Irish going abroad.

It occurred to me that with the arrival of the contingent from Hollywood we could
See a new route to Mars, clearly the interest is there , perhaps just once daily given the time zone issue and spacecraft utilisation.

Cork is ideally placed to capitalise on potential inbound tourist business as well as the US mining business on Mars ,

Customs pre clearance would be a pre requesit but Shannon have paved the way

Just heading into work now , night, hat coat sunglasses check.

The millennium falcon is all y but can be reconfigured with less cargo space to F/Y and we could see a 20 seater , given the load this week , certainly sustainable?

I thought this was all meant to be wrapped up by the 13th of May or have I got that wrong?

We are talking about US regulatory authorities here - it's how long is a piece of string?

Fair enough I just thought I saw an article where it said a decision was definite by May 13th.

Cork to Menorca summer charter flights have been cancelled due to lack of demand. It was to be operated by two Munster based travel agents using a Cityjet aircraft.

Looks like we won't get to see the SSJ down here so.

Another weird route like the planned Ibiza gone before it even took off. Surely they can see a mile off these routes are very niche to justify a summer schedule.

was just about to book with Stein to Menorca, they next day they pulled London City, booked FR Cork to Majorca instead as I had a feeling they might up-sticks

Don't think City Jet pulling LCY had anything to do with Menorca.

People are booking online direct with the airline and by passing travel agents.

Is the EI winter seasonal to Geneva been canned too? This was only once a week (Saturday service) running from December to March, and wasn't even a based aircraft, it was a Dublin based aircraft that did a W pattern form Dublin to Geneva to Cork and so on. Would be disappointing if it was dropped

    Yes, GVA is being dropped.

    Prague, ibiza, mahon (menorca)

    Fuerteventura this year.

If we're throwing in those old routes and Nice, we have to also include Brussels Lisbon, Vilinus, Pisa, Izmir, Bodrum, East Midlands, Warsaw and Krakow

I know its been said again and again but its an expensive airport to fly from. For anyone on a tight budget they will look elsewhere..
plus the whole thing in the last few years of flights getting cancelled before the 1st flight takes off isnt helping either.it would make you re-think of booking on a new service

It's a shame about GVA since it had been running for a good few winter (8 or is it even more?). EI manage up to 3 daily flights from DUB on winter Saturdays.

If NAI gets their DOT approval, let's hope they put a proper effort into making BOS, JFK, and BCN work. Otherwise it's hard to see any near term good news for ORK.

You only have to look back a few weeks to see Ryanair having extended 3 sun routes into the winter.

If MAD goes well I can see it being increased next year.

I can see EI and FR going after NAI on the BCN part of the operation.
