Should I pull the trigger on Silva to de Brunye or wait?

Should I pull the trigger on Silva to de Brunye or wait?

Silva (10.1) could be out for a few more weeks. His price is dropping (not alarmingly so you probably have a few days to a week before you'd get concerned.)

DeBruyne (10.3) will possibly go up tonight, probably tomorrow.

If money is a factor for you then consider that.

If you have a strong team and are happy to leave Silva on the bench for potentially 3 more GW's then fair enough. If not then you need to think about that.

    Personally I'd do it.

Not sure if this has been posted but @FplPriceChanges have tweeted this:

    Mane after internationals

    2014/15:

    GW8: 25 mins
    GW12: 79 mins
    GW21: Injured
    GW23: 27 mins
    GW31: 29 mins

    15/16:

    GW3: 25 mins

Very interesting indeed. I am on my Wildcard, whose the 4.3 MF fodder outside of Wanyama? I've Bertie & Pelle so no not want to hang myself with 3 Southampton players if I need to get Mane in next week?

    Current team for the Lols:

    Gomez -- Elliot

    Bertie -- Souare -- Zab -- Francis -- Bellerin

    KDB -- Payet -- Mahrez -- Sanchez -- ??

    Costa -- Lukaku -- Pelle

Can easily flog Costa and one of a few others to get Aguero back in. Will Mahrez regain his place? Crazy stuff from tinkerman

    Fletcher of WBA seems popular.

As i replied to FPL price changes on twitter and posted here previously he was in Algiers for a friendly last night and its only a 3hr flight away, not much more than Pellè. About as close as he can be while in Africa.

Before GW3 he had to come from S Africa and only got back late on Thursday.

    Lads

    Couple of choices

I have to get rid of Silva and Aguero but want to get some Arsenal coverage

The predicament is Silva to De Brunye/Walcott/Sanchez

    Aguero to Giroud

    What do we reckon?

Giroud has pretty much lost his position to Walcott. I think Silva to Walcott is the prudent move there. His finishing is atrocious but he'll still get so many chances that he'll eventually convert!

Also, I think these injuries represent an opportunity for people to really gain some ground or extend leads.

Many in your leagues will be scared to take hits.
Many will be confused as to what teams to plump for.
Many will have transferred Aguero in early and will have lost 4 points needlessly.

There are some interesting teams coming into some good form and fixtures over the next 5 or 6 GWs. No Aguero gives great licence to be flexible with extra funds and really take advantage.

4 point hit to bring in Sanchez for Barkley/Mahrez?

In some obscure Asian language, the word for Aguero Hamstring tear is the same as the word for opportunity. This gives us a chance to make ground on the players likely to end up in the top 100k, by making good Aguero replacements and captain choices.

How big a risk would getting rid of Mahrez be??

I don't think he'll be dropped again this weekend but may be subbed on or off more going forward. Vardy is a good route into Leicesters attack and for me the key point is that Mahrez takes up a valuable mid slot where there are so many players i want.....walcott, kdb, mane, sanchez, payet and probably Hazard.

While up front there are far less options.

I'm still tempted to drop Mahrez for a midfield of the three big hitters Sanchez, Hazard and KDB plus Mane.

I wouldn't be dropping Mahrez. When he's been good he's looked unplayable. Who wants to miss out on those weeks? Hazard hasn't been half the threat that he has at double the price. Sanchez and KDB are becoming must haves thought but still neither represents the value that Mahrez does.

If Mahrez becomes a rotation risk I'll address it accordingly. One game does not present that.

I'm having the same conundrum. I held off on Pelle last night. Will swallow the 0.1 I missed but, to be honest, he seems to be the in-form striker at the minute.

I wouldn't have even considered Costa had he not been mentioned here. I can see myself going Pelle in tomorrow and Mane in next week. I haven't checked yet but with the extra cash I may even have enough to upgrade Wanyama to Mane.

Could play my AOA then for a week before transferring someone back to a cheapie again.
Regarding Costa vs Pellè, I'd just quote myself from a previous post
    iroced wrote: »
So. was all set on Pellè but it is very stupid but my reverse jinxing childish idiotic stuff has me considering Costa. Well it is also Villa at home and they have to bounce back and Mourinho had 2 weeks to remotivate his squad.
Basically Pellè has form, fixtures & offer great squad flexibility until Sergio's return while Costa only has fixtures.
On second thoughts, I realised that with the international break, I'm not sure these 2 weeks really allowed Mourinho to reboost his squad. Checked again Costa's stats. And Pellè's ones. And went for the obvious choice. Now watch Costa score a hat-trick :pac: ...

Did Ranieri clearly explain why he benched Mahrez? I read people mentioning his rotation policy but from what I've seen in Monaco I don't remember that was really the case.

About your conundrum FHFC, I'll tell you again that the only one I'd be "happy" enough to ditch Mahrez for is KDB. I fully acknowledge though that it is a very difficult call. Actually an impossible call.

Thing is, let's say you do it and Mahrez keeps up his great record. You can always buy him back and have a unique flexibility regarding him compared to most players who got him in very early. Now, I fully understand it is very early to consider that but just saying that could be a factor. Worse that can happen is Mahrez starting at the week-end. Away to Saints while KDB is home to Bournemouth. I know we can't predict the future but the odds are certainly not Mahrez' way ;).

To solve this current headache, who did you say you can get for Agüero if you go Westwood -> KDB? Pellè?
I think it is equally a -8 than the ditching Mahrez option, doesn't it? I know you'd then have a selection headache but let's say you want to keep your AOA you can either bench Mahrez/Mané depending on the last news regarding internationals and even if it costs you pts on your bench, you still have all cards in your hands and have a better view on the Mahrez situation ;).

    Mata Sterling Payet Ayew Mahrez
    Aguero Martial Deeney

Aguero to Pelle done last night, Sterling to De Bruyne likely to be done tonight for -4. Now for a -8 do I:
    1. Ayew to Sanchez
    2. Ayew to Hazard
    3. Martial to Costa
    4. Mahrez to Walcott
    5. Keep Sterling, Mahrez to Walcott & Martial to Costa

As soon as Aguero got injured my plan was Pelle, KDB & Sanchez but the thought of no Chelsea at home to Villa is worrying despite their awful form.

    Mccarthy Butland
    Kolarov Evans Darmian Richards Targett
    Mahrez Payet Ozil Hazard Westwood
    Aguero Gomis Pelle

    1 free trandsfer & 1.4m in bank.
Priority is sort out Aguero, get rid of Darmian and get Alexis in. Anyone going for a big-hitting 5 man midfield due to lack of forward options? Looking at KDB,ALexis & Ighalo in for Ozil,Westwood & Aguero. Any thoughts?

Is -4 in this of all weeks necessarily a bad thing or are a lot of people in the same boat?

I'm just not sure it's worth it for me. I have 11 starters and that's assuming the worst on Kolarov, so 12 if he's ok.

I just feel it could be a one of those strange low scoring weeks (no idea why I feel that!), so don't really want to take an unnecessary hit.

So I am at a crucial stage in my main league and slipping.
Anyone any thoughts on transfer for this ...

    Cech
    Boruc

    Bellerin --- Gomez -- Schlupp --- Targett - Nyom

    Mahrez --- payet----KDB--- Pedro --- Wanyama

    Vardy---- Martial ---Aguero

The following players are an issue IMO :
    Aguero - wel D'uh
Pedro -- not scoring well at all
    Mahrez-- potential issue
    Nyom -- injured
Gomez - injured and not playing
    Targett - not playing

anyone care to throw their thoughts in to the mix ?

Aguero to your choice of striker (Pelle is the popular option) and then if Nyom is fit, I'd just play him. If he's ruled out, then a -4 for Gomez to Dawson/Bertrand could be justified

As soon as Aguero got injured my plan was Pelle, KDB & Sanchez but the thought of no Chelsea at home to Villa is worrying despite their awful form.
The safest option is stopping at -4 and waiting for next week to make for free your -8 move. If Chelsea fails again your extra 4 pts hit will haunt you. Sanchez away to Watford and who played with a minor groin annoyance last night may wait for another week to join your team.
Even if Ayew is rested you'd have a decent front 7.

About your 5 options I'd favour 1. Sanchez is better to own than to worry about.

Now. Sterling is a tough one. Of course, based on form and recent returns, KDB sounds essential. But with the holy City trio (Agüero-Silva-Yaya) possibly out Sterling could play in an advanced position (that rarely suited him at 'Pool though, he lacks "clinicallity") or just benefit from their absence.

Maybe another option is Ayew to KDB (problem is we probably won't have news on Ayew's fitness before tonight) and play your 2 City mids this GW and move Sterling out for e.g. Sanchez next week (Manchester derby for Sterling, Everton at home for Sanchez). It also allows you to evaluate Chelsea options.

With Agüero out, yeah it may be a good idea to go 3-5-2.
I feel it's not the best timing for your Sanchez move though, for all the reasons I gave above. That said, last time I threw caution out for Sanchez he scored a 20 pointer hat-trick  :pac:...

Bertie could be a great replacement for Darmian.

Depends on your team. If you have things to sort out, it is indeed not the worst week to be taking a (couple of) hit(s) ;).

Help wanted, thinking of a -12 and using my AOA CHIP already have Sanchez in for Pedro
    Current team
    Cech, (McCarthy)
    Alderweild, Naughton, Kolorov,Gomez and Targett,
    Sanchez, Mahrez,Payet, KDB, and Westwood,
Aguero, Ayoze and Martial, .2m in a bank.
Thinking Gomez, Westwood and Aguero out bringing in Walcott, Bony and any defender. Or just dump Gomez, targett and Aguero, wouldn't mind Sturridge but their fixtures are horrendous. Any ideas welcome. Not touching Costa again.

Walcott may be a little at risk of not starting with Bayern next midweek. I still think Wenger will pick his best team since Watford A is nothing to sneeze at, but since you have Sanchez you could wait on Theo. I'd probably play Toby, Naughton, and Kolarov instead of AOA unless Kolarov is definitely ruled out. Not interested in Vardy? That's who my Aguero replacement is likely to be

Looking for a cheap 3rd striker, wont play many weeks but prob will this week with my AOA chip, 5.9m to speand. Debating between Ighalo,Bojan,Defoe,Deeney or Murray. What do ppl think?

Ighalo is the best of the sub 6m strikers imo, although Murray put up really great stats the last two GWs. Ayoze is another to add to that list as he's cheaper than the rest at 5.1m

Undecided on taking a second points hit to go Aguero to Costa. Would mean starting Redmond or Morgan if I dont make the transfer.

How far away is Benteke from fitness? I'm considering Kun - Benteke for a few weeks on Saturday, once GW9 is underway. Cant transfer Kun out now as I've taken a -8 already.

Thinking Benteke under Klopp may be a decent differential.

My advice would be to hold after the Aguero transfer.
I'm getting Bony in too and carrying forward a FT to next week.
Mahrez rotation risk, next 2 GWs fixtures, Klopp etc. is putting me off more transfers so the AOA chip can be used.
Almost everyone has defensive concerns and a -4 next week with more info is what I'm thinking.

After this week Leicester are at home to CP, Wat and away to WB and Newcastle.
Probably means it's now or never.
I chickened out mainly 'cos I don't trust Chelsea and Hazard is the only one I want and even a drop in value before GW starts wont temp me.
