She is walking but leg can't be fixed... Either way she will be shot in the morning but if I taught I could freeze her I would

Ring your local abattoir first thing in the morning. They will tell you if it can be done.
Its ridicolous having perfectly good animals being shot.

Dammit I should not have bloody looked.
If a lump was to appear would it be the top injection point or the bottom?

Bottom is the one that matters, if there are 2 and the top one is bigger your ok.

Ahh no. How soon do the lumps show up? Only had the test at 2.30 yesterday

Does that mean that she didn't have TB after all?

You'd see them after a day if they're there
Tomorrow they'll be full size if there

Probably but they'll do a culture test on her glands which will confirm or deny in a few weeks
I'd love to see the stats on what percentage of reactors in factories turn out to actually have it

Think so. Was told by the dept vet there, that there was no need to send anything off to the lab so she must have been completely clear.
Relieved in one way but am still locked up which is a bit annoying.
Might only need one test though, which will be mid november. Mid january if i still need two tests.

Just after reading my stock just now. 6 month follow up check. All passed. A few dairy lads have a share of inconclusive animals in the area. Hopefully i won't have to test again for 12months.

I'm just paranoid the bottom lump has nearly disappeared. Think my eyes are playing tricks on me cos the more I looked at it last night the bigger it was. Anyways will find out tomorrow.

I never look at stock for lumps between testing and reading, no point being pissed off before the reading!

I never looked before. I just happen to be reading this thread a few mins before I went to feed them. And I looked by accident really

Must check the statement, my inconclusive went to the factory today, glands will be cultured and should know in 8 weeks if I am clear or not. Three options with an inconclusive,
Retest that animal after 60 days,
Send to factory and retest herd after 60 days,
Send to factory and get glands cultured which takes about 8 weeks.
If already restricted and there have been a lot of cases or if you have had a few go down in previous tests sometimes the department may upgrade an inconclusive to a reactor depending on reading, according to vet anyway

If you go with opinion 3,and take the animal to the factory and comes back in 8weeks clear is the whole herd clear, and don't need to be retested?

I had an inconclusive during the summer and held onto her, the retest was 42 days not 60, unless they changed it since.

    I believe 42 is correct.

She passed but she can only go to the factory when culled, no selling on.

Paid 510 for 124 animals for t.b test recently includes call out charges. How does this price fair?
