Played through Atlas Fallen on Gamepass, pleasently surprised with this decent game, not spectacular but very playable. Anyone decided to give Lords of the Fallen a spin, had completed the original so was interested to see how this compares, got to the first boss and it's kicking my arse, makes me realise how much I don't like souls games...

Reinstalled MGS 5 as well, never finished it I seem to remember, think I'll give it another go instead of torturing myself with souls games :(

Started KCD2 but its too slow for me up to now, six hours in i just got bored with the main story but when i jump back in ill just explore and do random side quests as thats what i seem to enjoy more in open world games [same story with RDR2]

Im not one for walls of text or endless NPC discussions.

Speaking of lengthy NPC discussions im playing dynasty warriors origins and really enjoying it.

Yes theres tonnnes of cutscenes chatting to NPCs but the combat is up there with the best ive ever played plus the gameplay loop of run mission-upgrade weapons-jump back into combat rinse repeat feels very like Monster Hunter and its something i enjoy.

I also jumped into Horizon Forbidden West and really loving it, i reckon ill be popping in and out of it for the long haul alongside Dynasty Warriors and hopefully KCD2 .

Its hard to go from action packed Dynasty Warriors Origins back to KCD :) and thats where Horizon feel like a nice balance of both.

Im probably doing it backwards but i can see myself playing the first Horizon after FW.

I played a bit over xmas via gamepass the combat was excellent and the game as a whole felt more enjoyable than Dying Light2 , poe 2 distracted me but i must go back to Dead Island 2 at some point.

Just finished up Avowed, overall a decent game, nothing spectacular but decent enough. Don't know why it got slated so much especially if you can play it on Gamepass.

I was enjoying it too until my game pass PC got hacked and i lost MS flight sim 24 , luckily it was the only game i bought on the platform but its my own fault i thought i had 2FA set up.

Avowed was very enjoyable and i too disagreed with all the hate.

Sadly a few influencial youtubers or streamers **** on a game and the sheep [ya know the followers who cant form an opinion themselves] follow as per usual with the current gen of gamers.

Its happening now too with AC shadows yet millions are enjoying the game.

I'm trying to play Avowed but I just cannot get a stable framerate to 60. Closest I've gotten is 53-57 but my sword when held in front of water has a Minecraft edge, textures pop everywhere and it still runs like poo. I've all settings down to low, 1080p, DLSS set to Performance, I can't change much more to try and bring the frames up. I must be doing something wrong?

3060 12Gb, R7 5800x 3.8Ghz, 32Gb DDR4 ram. Or is it I'm using a 55" LG C2, so the rig isn't able for it? The logical upgrade seems to be a 4070 Super, but I'm not dropping a grand on a (old by now) GPU. I'd rather pick up a Series X again at this point. PC Gaming has got easier to build, but harder to play. Too many options, too much knowledge required. Just want to play games at a stable 60fps. PlayStation has set a high bar for me with stable frames in their games. Unless there's a GPU that'll make my rig plug and play for the price of a Series X, I'll probably bow out of trying to get back into PC gaming.

Im in the same boat with a creaking PC and have been using Geforce Now Ultimate for a while now. Its really impressed me, it plays everything at top settings with of any drops. Its hard to tell that its being streamed to your PC. I know its another cost but its cheaper than a new PC. Avowed looked fantastic and playing Indiana Jone now and it looks amazing. Really impressed with service.

I was playing Avowed on PC until i started getting over heating issues [now resolved with new cooler] so i installed on the xbox via game pass ultimate and it was so ugly i couldnt believe it, even on quality mode it was really poor yet stuck on 30fps which for me in 2025 is unplayable, the 60 fps performance mode was absolutely shocking bad looking and felt stuttery to play [digital foundry said it really struggles on console to hit 60 fps even with performance mode].

Dont give up on your 3060 yet.

Finished up with Indiana Jones and was surprised on how the game played, thought it would have been more like Uncharted but it was very different. Great game, really enjoyed it but felt it was rushed into the last few levels.

Might try out SW:Outlaws and AC Shadows next, nothing else currently grabbing me. Might go the ubisoft+ route to get those two played.

    Drova: Forsaken Kin.

Celtic themed action rpg, pixelish graphics, exploration is excellent, player progression is extremely satisfying. You are weak as a kitten starting off, so you've to pick your battles bigtime, but when you get used to the combat and learn a few skills, it really opens up. It doesn't hold your hand, at all, the quests are interesting and varied, with lots of varied approaches, the characters are similarly timeworthy, and the world gets revealed to you in sufficiently slow but rewarding drips and drabs. The skills are satisfying to learn and use, the collection elements work well without being paramout, and your choices to genuinely seem to matter.

I'm really enjoying it. Several thumbs up.

Playing through the first Devil May Cry for the first time, via the HD collection.

I think I read it started as a Resident Evil game, which explains the camera. I guess should be thankful it doesn't also use tank controls.

Really enjoying SW:Outlaws, love what they have done with the SW story line, well worth a play through.

Honestly, some of those sudden camera shifts feel like a gamble — like a boss fight on cz-mostbet: quick decisions, no mercy

If you like it, be sure to try the third installment - they've perfected everything you love about the series there

The camera in the first part is a separate enemy, especially in the fight with Phantom . But how satisfying its to win when you do manage to do so

Yeah. Looked up a guide a few times for some of teh boss fights and didn't help much because I was so underpowered compared to what the guide suggested. I'll be the first to admit I'm not good at games so tend to die a lot, which means all my orbs were spent on the green star and the continues.

It's a good job it didn't carry ammo rationing over from Resident Evil since I mainly used the grenade launcher.

The Space Harrier bit at the end was tough because of the inverted controls. Only found out after that I could've used the d-Pad for non-inverted.

Will get back to the series at a later point.

15 or so hours into Planet Crafter. I was just browsing Steam and saw this, was on sale for just over a tenner so picked it up. Reckon I'm about half way through. Not the prettiest game, and a bit janky but for an initial 2 person team ending with a 6 person team, it's pretty good. Simple enough, land on rock, terraform it. Build/unlock upgrades, repeat. We've done it loads of times already. This is in first person view. No enemies, only thing to worry about is hunger, thirst and oxygen, most of which are not annoying to replenish and don't run out overly quick, and initial oxygen upgrades come quick. A benefit is any power produced somehow works everywhere, no connections needed, so to ensure you don't run out of oxygen while exploring, you can pick up the many scattered basic resources to build a single room and door and it replenishes your oxygen. Handy. Inventory management is the only balls at the beginning, but doesn't ruin it too much.

It's pretty cool to see the planet slowly change over time, from dust to desert to water, algae, moss and on. I'm near growing my first trees, and I've unlocked the vehicle with unlimited oxygen so exploring in earnest now, what with more hidey holes unlocked with the passage of time. Relaxing game overall, recommend to pick it up cheap. First DLC landed, which is another planet. Not sure if that means another one on top of this, or if there are other planets I can visit near end game (I see at least 3 others in the sky). Shall plug away and find out!
