Not a hope. Red Dead is big news of course but it always has been coming, just the way Rockstar started the hype was excellent and got people buzzing for it. New Nintendo hardware, especially the secret process of it, will always be big. They can both exist alongside each other in big appeal.

Went to college today & all my friends were talking about just a teaser image, few games or companies generate their own hype & allow the public to do their advertising as successfully as Rockstar.
With Nintendo I just worry people in the media have written their stories already that they shouldn't release a mainly handheld device in 2017. I do worry about Nintendo failing to convey the message of the device to customers in a framerate/teraflop obsessed market now.
I will buy the NX at launch regardless of it as I have had more or less every handheld they released but

Overshadow? Sure it's part of it. BG&E2 was teased before the expected reveal and now the new Red Dead tease just before the expected reveal. Can only mean both games are NX exclusives. :pac:

Look, at some point this week. If we don't hear something before the meeting, then I will expect a delay. Or Nintendo really is crazy. But all this stuff happening, there's no smoke without fire and all that.

They have to have something by the investors meeting next week, or it'll make a lot of investors really nervous. Even just another announcement saying they need a bit longer. They've done it before with both the console and games like Zelda and Starfox

There's no way to register games any more (other than digital downloads) so this really could not happen.

Hoping the rumours about the reveal happening this week or next hold true.
I'd expect the announcement either well before, or just after the investors meeting.

If Nintendo don't announce NX before the meeting, then at the meeting they give the whole 'we will talk about NX at a later date' spiel, I will be officially annoyed.
