What? Crazy talk! Why would they drop him? Plenty of takers anyway.

Seems true. 6.5 million final year contract. Bit shocked tbh. But spriggs looks good. Hopefully ye will send over a 2nd and 4th for him. Ye need o line help big time.

Sanchise to the Cowboys from the look of it. Delightful.

Yeah, i good insurence policy to have. I would've liked to keep him in denver as a fallback option, but not at the 4.5 million price tag for a backup.

I wonder what price dallas got him at?
Not a starter you'd like to have for your team, but much maligned in my opinion and a nice stop gap.

Ah Sanchez will be better at holding the clipboard then Jameel "hit the god damn" Showers. No word on Sanchez's contract yet.

Not a hope. Bears have a lot of depth issues at o line but the days of taking on expensive veterans for huge ransoms to provide short term solutions are what got us into that situation to begin with. Everything they've been doing points towards efforts to get younger, even if in the short term that means serious struggles in some parts of the field. But there's a few very strong teams with solid quarterbacks that are in dire need of solid o line play to step up a level and he'd be a huge addition to any of them.

His released now anyways so it's a free for all. Pats will pick him up

Anything that improves upon the cardboard cut outs in our o-line would be a positive.

Blaine gabbert has been named the 49ers starting QB for week 1. It's hardly a suprise.

Kaep can put all that preseason sitting practice to work in a real match now.

The Santa Clara PD are threatening to boycott the 49ers games due to the protest.

Such a kerfuffle over nothing. Everyone's cool with the right to self expression until somebody goes and does it.

The gist of what the cops are saying seems to be that if you exercise your first amendment rights in a way that they deem critical of themselves, they can hold the whole organisation to ransom for not condemning you for exercising free speech?

That seems to be it yeah. Free speech as long as you use it to row in behind the military and the police.

You see the Santa Clara PD pulling out might focus the 49ers top brass minds as they need the police to control the games.

But they're essentially threatening to let lawlessness reign unless the 9ers stop a player from doing something perfectly legal and central to any democracy. It's perverse.

That's all 6 of their first round picks from 2011-2014 off their roster now.

Browns are after keeping all 14 of their draft class from this year in their final roster. Have to think that is them going out of their way to try to signal that they've fixed the drafting issues of the past. It's stupid move if true.

They could however be a winner from the Bradford trade. They'll be hoping that Daniels/Wentz have a shocker this season as their pick will just continue to improve.

Can anyone explain the Kaepernick situation too me please? Been away the past few weeks and haven't got a chance to catch up on the latest NFL news!

49ers traded with the Chiefs for Rod Streater for the price of swapping conditional 7th round picks in 2019. Talk about accepting anything for a player.

Given the dire position the 49ers are in with WRs he could actually end up seeing a lot of gametime.

He's refusing to stand for the American national anthem and he says it's because of the treatment of minorities in the US by cops and them getting away with it.

Some good news for the Cowboys, Randy Gregory had won his appeal and will only be suspended for 4 games instead of 10.

    Looks sick in slow mo.

Tbh i thought it was a harsh ejectction on first look. Ya he hit is head but both players went low (the guy stumbled into it). There was no intent there to take his head off, he was just blocking the guy. Now i guess it could be argued that he shouldnt have blocked him because he stumbled but what if he regained his balance and made the tackle?
