    Who would have thunk it

    Nobody saw this one coming!

Sure there was a chance of sleety snow showers for the western half of the country but nowhere forecasted a band of sleet and gaupel turning to massive flakes!

The next 2 days will propably be very anti-climatic after today especially in the east. We are so lucky to get this.

    Who would have thunk it

Nothing that the charts haven't been showing for days

If the conditions are right the month doesn't matter other than snow melting quicker of course

-5 uppers thickness right heavy ppn why wouldn't it snow

Glad i went out with the two young lads for a snowball fight and a mini snow man build ! temperature has picked up and the roads are little rivers now. quick thaw, and should all be gone in the next few hours if it keeps up.

Starting to snow now in East Wall, so seeing as the bedpan is about 1k due south I'd imagine it might well be

Trying to watch the Liverpool match here, and I'm out every 5/10 minutes cleaning the snow off the lnb. It's a bitter sweet day

starting to lighten off now and sky getting brighter.

Decent 4-5cms on the ground. Will take a few photos before the rapid thaw.

Bright and sunny here in North Cork but need to drive to Dublin this afternoon. I suppose the chances of a snow free run are nil.
