That's the first and final time you'll see the word "Canada" in a Met Eireann weather warning.

Just wondered what travel conditions will be like tomorrow morning between Clare and Galway. I'm taking a bus to a hospital appointment in Galway and wondered if I need to leave an hour earlier than planned?

Actual snow falling in Maynooth now, sticking on the layer of fine hail/graupel laid down before it. There's pretty full cover by now, and if it continues like this, there'll be a measurable depth of it.

Snowing heavily in Ratoath, watching football match on telly and sipping on a pint of Guinness on chill out Sunday...
Its like Christmas lads, without the hype.
    Best 1st of March ever.

snowflakes the size of bird feathers!

if only we had a day of this we could do an american style timelapse.

the last time I remember seeing flakes this big was in the snow of 1991.

Although I've been reading "boards" for quite some time, just joined. Seems like you are having some weather. I'm coming from Boston
Arriving in Dublin Tues. AM and traveling to Co. Donegal for the month. Maybe I should bring along the "snow clothes" I've been clad in
here for the last 5 weeks. Any one have some idea what's to come a little later in the week? Or maybe more? Really hate to be carrying
heavy shoes and such if not needed. Thanks a lot. Much better here than commercial forecasts.

Major snow dumpage in Kilcock. Went into cafe for breakfast and all was grey and wet. When we came out, it was a white out.
