    Heavy heavy snow in athlone. Biggest snowflakes ive seen this year. Sticking hard. Looks so awesome!

    The back part of this occlusion or mini wave may turn to snow across the Greater Dublin area as the cold air undercuts...

    Interesting yet... hopefully precip can maintain intensity as it approaches Dublin

    a good hour of heavy snow in East Galway, 2 - 3 inches on the ground. Everything clean and white.

    Sleet and graupel also turning to snow here. Sticking to cars. Quite heavy too. temp dropping like a stone as well. 2.3c at 12:07 and 1.3 now. Fast drop

    heavy snow here now, visibility starting to fall! Heaviest snowflakes Ive seen since 2010. Snowflakes about the size of 2 euro coins.

    Still graupel here, hopefully band can get a move on..

    At least graupel will lower surface temperature.

    Cycled through that on my way back from rathoath to castleknock - temp dropped about 4 degrees to 2.5 according to the garmin in the bike.
