can't remember if it was said before, but Caribou/Daphni is on the Saturday

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,010 ✭✭✭MattD

Wild Beasts appear to be on the Sunday. That undercard is basically everyone I regret missing at EP last year...!

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,379 ✭✭✭Shedite27

that undercard is very tasty now.

    the additions:
    James Blake
    The Vaccines
    METRONOMY
    Pusha T
    Todd Terje
    Danny Brown
    Glass Animals
    Everything Everything
    Toro y Moi
    Daphni
    Jose Gonzalez
    Catfish and the Bottlemen
    Years & Years
    Ibeyi
    Benjamin Booker
    Tove Lo
    The Districts
Any in-the-know music lovers want to give a one liner on each of these bands, what style, "who they're similar to" etc. I promise to like any such post!

Be a busy day for Dan Snaith if Caribou are Daphni one the same day.

Anyone know if Todd Terje is doing a dj set or his new Todd Terje and the Olson live show.

On other festival posters it usually says Todd Terje & the Olsens or else Todd Terje live if he is playing with his band/live. So I reckon this could be just him on his own playing live or maybe a DJ set, raging was really hoping he would get announced for EP. As MattD said this is basically everyone I regret missing at Picnic last year, won't be around to attend though unfortunately.

Caribou playing in America on Sunday, and presume they'll be on late enough on Saturday, so i'd imagine it'll be a 1hr Daphni DJ set in the early evening and then Caribou an hour or 2 later.

How long do ye guys think it will take for the weekend tickets to sell out?

didn't sell out until a couple of days before it last year from what I remember.
think the Saturday tickets sold out about 2 weeks in advance.

I can see Friday selling out first this year

Danny Brown, SBTRKT, and Ibeyi are all on the Friday according to their own websites. Which sucks for me as I'm only going Sunday. Or maybe they are just listed as 17th July Marlay Park as it's the date the festival starts, so who knows. I couldn't find a date for Todd Terje or Benjamin Booker and I didn't look up anyone else.

Anyone have an idea who else is playing Sunday?

Benjamin Booker is done for every day so guessing he doesnt no what day he is on yet.

Can see Catfish and the bottlemen doing EP aswell

This years lineup trumps last years I think.

If The Vaccines and Catfish & the Bottlemen, along with Alt-J, all play on the Saturday I think I'll be buying a day ticket :)

    Overall though it's a nice looking line-up!

Wasnt impressed with the headlines but the undercards have me jonesing for a ticket this year!

Wild Beasts, Metronomy, Jose Gonzales (pity it's not Junip), Daphni, Everything Everything, Todd Terje & James Blake are all on my to-see list

  • Registered Users Posts: 83 ✭✭Ruanmcg

Do you reckon this is the full lineup or is there anymore decent acts to be announced?

Yeah it says more to be announced on the poster thats probably most of the big acts announced though I'd say.

There will be more RBMA acts and a couple more Irish acts I'd say. Still a bit light for 4 stages over 3 days

The lineup this year smashes last years for sure. Think I'll go to one day. It's gotta be the one when ALT-J are headlining though but well see who else ends up on.

Latitude in the UK line up was announced today, so at least it makes it a bit easier to figure out who's playing which day the same acts will be playing here.

(Of the acts playing both festivals)

    Friday:
    Alt J
    Caribou
    Toro y Moi
    Wild Beasts
    The Districts

    Saturday:
    James Blake
    José González
    The Vaccines
    Catfish & The Bottlemen
    Wolf Alice

    Sunday:
    SBTKRT
    Years & Years
    Young Fathers

I've probably forgotten a few, but that's the majority of them.

I'd say hopefully we'll have the day by day breakdown of the acts by this Friday or a week this Friday? Last year we had the breakdown + 3rd announcement by the first Friday in March, although maybe not this year as the 2nd announcement was later than last year...

Benjamin Booker is on Saturday too. Shame I'd like to have seen him and James Blake, but I'm only getting a Saturday ticket for alt j and caribou, unless something mad happens!

I was hoping half of Saturdays line up for latitude would be on for Alt J's day Ill still be going though

Anybody know what day Jungle will be on?

  • Registered Users Posts: 55 ✭✭PatrickIde1187

Hey all. I purchased a Sunday ticket a few weeks back and just today I realized I already had a ticket for Nuclear Assault who are playing the voodoo lounge the same day. Just wondering does anyone know what time "roughly" Chemical Bros will be on at?. Nuclear should end at around half 10 , If I hurried on down would I still catch CB?. And if I went down that late without being there for any of the weekend would I still be aloud in literally for one act?. Answers much appreciated!

As far as I know it has the same closing times as Forbidden Fruit 10.45 pm I think, so you would have fifteen minutes.
