WiiU I can only really see as being used for piracy. Everything that the console has that is worth playing has made it to the PAL region so it's not like the 3DS where there will be fan translations (still really want to give the beyond the labyrinth translation a go but haven't bothered hacking any of my 3DS machines).

Anyone use Ice, its a emulator frontend integrated into Steam ?

I've tested it out and it was a bit tricky to sort out but it launches the games fine. Quitting needs the esc button or setting up a button combination on joy2key so it wasn't that useful for me since I wanted it to launch games while playing on TV without a keyboard.

    In hack news.........

WiiU cracked open for lazytown activities. Sources claim an unscrupulous leak but those on the inside admit they didnt want the big N to ram a burning pitchfork up their jacksie.

New system update on the way by Nintendo thinly veiled as improving stability

Ive always been here in spirit :D

Crazy enough though this could turn out to be very useful and not just for piracy. A homebrew scene is in its infancy but shows great promise. Only time will tell.

    Yeah,
Homebrew launchers for Pikmin 3, Mario 3D World and Yoshi, all from an SD card!
    Very legit!!

Speaking of, the despecialised editions of the original movies look great!

Just spotted an Easter Egg in the last episode or Mr. Robot series 1.

There is an arcade machine with "Lizard Squad" on the marquee.

The name of the hacking group that took down the PSN network.

This is my 2nd time watching series 1 and it was just as good as the first time, (the amnesia I experience with TV and movies helps!)

It is honestly the best thing I've seen since Breaking Bad, and if you haven't seen it yet, you should as series 2 is coming July 13th.

Yeah Mr Robot is very good. It's one of maybe 3 or 4 things I'd actually watch week to week

I always wonder what the cause of this is as I get it too.

    Films/shows/books/games...all entertainment really.

Its great in that you can almost experience things as new if enough time elapsed, but the big down side being it inhibits your knowledge intake considerably.

Weirdly, it doesn't seem to be linked to having a bad memory in general, as I don't - only when it comes to entertainment :D

I see Shadows of the Empire is up on GoG. I'd just like to make a public service announcement and warn everyone away from this absolute turd. Time has not been kind and even the much celebrated at the time Hoth level is a pile of ****.

I enjoyed it back in the day. I got it when I picked up my N64 from the Virgin Megastore in town.

I played it a few years ago. It was horrendous. The vehicle sections barely work and the third person shooting sections are really annoying especially the bullet sponge bosses.

A product of its time for sure but even then I thought it was fairly naff and wanted to get back to Mario 64 ASAP. The decent review scores at the time were mostly due to the N64 being new and stars wars mania being quite high at the time with the digital rereleases of the films.

Tried to play that last year myself. Didn't last very long in the console...

I loved Shadows of the Empire at the time, but I've no doubt it's aged spectacularly poorly. Worse than Goldeneye/Perfect Dark poorly.

Played in recently and enjoyed it, the controls are a bit horrible at times but still not a terrible game.

Saw a picture today of a very young Hideki Kamiya.

The man has been stone cold bonkers for a long time.

I just carried approximately 1500 comics up 4 flights of stairs and then lifted them all into the attic.

I don't know why I'm telling you this, someone has to know :pac:

Next step - putting them all in order!
