A player can only drop 0.1 a day.
It's not a certainty that he's going to drop, highly likely though.

SSN: Aguero to miss at least 4 weeks.

Yaya, for city cover from GW 17? With the amount of suspensions and injuries in my squad, not sure I can work him in for this GW.

Is anyone liking Bojan? MotM performance against Arsenal and seems to be really finding his feet in the Premier League now.

This week's decision feels like it's going to be season-defining. Big money players changing around at a critical time. It's only one decision among hundreds over the season, but I can't help feeling I'll look back on this weeks transfers and see it as the week that made or broke my season.

I've narrowed down my Aguero replacement to Dzeko Benteke and Bony. I'll see how Dzeko does on wednesday before I decide. I might even just bench Aguero this week and play Dummett rather than take a -4

Yeah, I wouldn't have been worrying (till Lemlin made me worry :() about BOny being rested. On the form he is in will Monk rest him so he's nice and fresh for the ACON??

He'll have a few 75 minute games as usual I'm sure, but should hopefully have the goals in the bag by then. Note that as the game was not won on Sunday Gomis came on for a midfielder and Bony stayed on. If they are leading comfortably it will be Bony off for Gomis.

My worry isn't necessarily Bony needing a rest, its more Gomis needing some playing time. He's only just gone 29 and came from Lyon where he scored 14 goals in 33 games last year so he's far from washed up.

That's why I'm going Aguero to Costa this week. With such high ownership for Costa, I'm not prepared to risk not having him. Bony/Lukaku/Benteke all with about 10% or less ownership or less. If one of those score 2 goals, the damage will be relatively limited. But if I don't have Costa and he scores twice, I'll lose a lot of ground on him. About 60% of the top 10k had him last week, and that's only going to rise with Aguero's injury.

Absolute madness, Dummett away to Arsenal is looking at a likely one pointer, meanwhile you've already used your week 17 transfer(assuming your dumping Aguero then). I'm like a broken record but if you refuse to take a hit at a time like this then you're never going to do very well at FPL, the three you've mentioned all have good fixtures, pick one and go for it.

Downgrading Aguero (to Dzeko/Bony/Benteke) leaves me with a lot of extra money that is burning a hole in my pocket. Basically allows me to upgrade Kane or Fellaini.

    Quick A/B poll please.....
    A) Fellaini and Lukaku
    B) Yaya and Kane

Unless you're in the top few k owners, that sounds very defensive.

Get this decision right and think of the potential for huge gains over the next few weeks. Could really set people up nicely for the new year.

I'd rather Dummett gets 1 point than my striker to blank and get 2-4 = -2. I more than likely will take the hit though, just not sure who to pick.

Have you considered the second point I made though, you've already planned your transfer for next week when something else will likely pop up to put you in a similar position to now, I don't know how best to put it but you are crazy not to take the 4 point hit this week when you have the choice of every striker in the league and a nice healthy chunk of change to spend on your next transfer.

Yes it's definitely very defensive! But that's how I tend to play it. The only other player I think I'd really consider is Bony, and I already have Siggy and feel 2 Swansea attackers is too much, as they are a bit hot and cold.

Think I'm going to do Aguero to Benteke even though I'm afraid of not going for Costa :o But even if Costa does go on a mad one I can easily get him in with one transfer. Benteke could easily outscore him over the next 6 weeks...have a good feeling about it :)

I can't get my head around this concept re Costa. If you don't rate him and think the 11m is better spent elsewhere why don't you back your own judgement and try to make ground with the striker you do want. You'll end up captaining him every week for the same reasons, this could be great for you but there's just as much chance you'll curse your conservatism. I have Costa now by the way, I think he's a safe enough bet when I have a little extra money.

I don't have extensive hardcore FPL experience, but would you also recommend getting rid of Aguero this week in my case? As it stands, I'd like Austin as my replacement (already own Benteke and Bony) who is suspended. Logical choice of course would be Costa at Hull, but then I either start Yun against Everton or still go ahead with Chambers to Terry for -4. I figure the points could even out this GW without the hit (Costa goal is worth same as Terry cleanie and who knows what Boyd could do) and then I ship Aguero out next week for Austin unless another striker really catches my eye. Just wondering on thought processes

Oh yeah good point, thanks. I'm gonna take the hit. It'll probably be Benteke in but I want to see how Dzeko looks against roma first

So you're choice is Costa or Boyd but you're looking at letting Costa go again for week 17?? If it was me I'd bring Costa in for the -4, it's a gamble but seems to favour you in this case, Chelsea home to Hull on the back of a dreadful result in Newcastle, it doesn't happen often but it's a game I can see them scoring 5 in.

I have little experience myself but I'd never be afraid of a -4, my hits have worked out probably three out of four times, sometimes spectacularly.

That's the thing, I don't actually know if there any options better than Costa in terms of points returns.

Obviously Bony/Lukaku/Benteke are all cheaper. But I would have 2.7 in the bank if I do Aguero to Costa, allowing me to upgrade in lots of positions, so it's not like I need the money.

I fully realise it's the 'safe' choice. I'm sure there'll be another, cheaper, striker that will outscore Costa, but that could be any of about 6 players!

That's why I'm not transferring anyone in until later in the week. Can't believe the amount of people transferring in Costa, Yaya etc before the midweek game.

He'll never play midweek surely, he had 90 minutes on Saturday.

or if he plays midweek mayb he won't start vs hull ;)

Ya the fact they've qualified top of group and can't be caught would surely mean Drogba or Remy will play.

Yeah it's new striker (likely Costa) vs. Boyd if I'm set on the defender transfer. I'll have to think more carefully about it since I don't feel Costa is the best long term choice for my 3rd striker slot and would want Austin (possibly captain) against West Brom.
I'm not overly scared about hits (my Sterling and Siggy out for Hazard(c) and Downing in GW10 was amazing) although I have been playing it pretty cautious.

Went with Sakho in the end, having two swans players made me value him a little bit more than Bony. I now have 9.2 in the bank
