    No.

So if I bring in Bony for Aguero now, I get Bony's rise tonight (and avoid Aguero's fall) and it would not cost me anything should I decide to wildcard later in the week? That seems way too good to be true!

Have you made these transfers already? Would be a bit crazy with City yet to play Roma, price drop or not.

It's true :) Bring in all potential risers tonight and get rid of any fallers you have if you're certain that you'll be playing the wildcard. You can then buy the fallers back cheaper if you like.

That's essentially what I'm doing. Team at the moment looks like

    Foster (Heaton)
    Zab Terry Cresswell (Hutton, Taylor)
    Hazard Sanchez Downing Siggy (Lampard)
    Dzeko Costa Bony

Expecting to get a couple of rises out of some of them before i settle on a team on Friday.

Need a bit of advice on transfers lads

Team for next week at the minute is

    Heaton

    Hutton wisdom N.Taylor Dummett

    Hazard(c) SAnchez Downing Boyd

    Bony Costa

    Subs Augero Fabregas Yun

    Only have one FT

Thinking either RVP or benteke for Augero. Really want city cover with their nice run of fixtures, want to replace fab with silva but if he is not fit in time I will go with Milner as a stop gap for now.

No way interested in Yaya although on set pieces he plays way to deep and doesn't look like a threat from General play especially going on the last game at Newcastle.

So basically any realiable return date for silva, don't want to lose to much on fab. I'm leaning towards benteke over RVP atm. Gives me a chance to upgrade my D.

I'm an idiot; went to bed last night forgetting to make the transfers I was thinking of. I've now lost 0.2 on Fabregas and Aguero.

Now that I've already lost value on them, would it be safe to wait until after the CL games to get Yaya and Diego Costa? Or are there likely going to be more rises/falls respectively? I have zero margin for error with just enough in the bank.

Won't lose value on Kuns drop, will on Bony rise but if dzeko plays the match mid week or looks sharp he comes in. Rooney didn't make the cut after tonight.
Can field 11 players then- but might move yaya in too or wait a week mmm

My hope is Dzeko starts and gets about 60 minutes.

I was going to hold off costa until later in the week. But a few people pointed out that costa wont play as Chelsea are through in 1st place, and yaya is suspended. When I looked last night, I think fffix was forecasting costa to rise tonight. Haven't checked this morning if that's still the case.

Same here. Dzeko will be my Aguero replacement if he plays around an hour. I got Aguero in early so don't mind his price dropping too much, so I'll just hold out until Wednesday night to see what's happening re: Dzeko.

Am waiting for Wednesday night too. Am thinking Aguero, Chambers out for Baines and Dzeko. Then if Silva stays the same price I might do him in for Siggy the following week.

I'm also thinking Silva next week. He's at -88% on FFFix, would be lovely if he fell again. But he's falling slowly.

This run of games takes us up til January the 1st, and therefore wildcard time. Also, I assume the ACON players will be off around this time as well.
AS you said he's got lovely fixtures up till ACON, at which time Agueor should be back, so easy enough to move the funds to get Aguero back.

  • Thinking it's Aguero & Chambers out, Azpi & Costa in.

To wait to Sat morning or not to wait, that is the question....

    So...

I went Ageuro -> Bony and then Steven Taylor -> Baines for his yummy fixture against QPR.

This will allow me to field a team of 11, assuming Fabianski's red card is rescinded. If it isn't, I don't think I'm going to field a goalkeeper this week as I'd have to take a -4 to get one in.

Thanks. If I'd known that yesterday I'd be 0.2 better off today, but they are the breaks in this game.

Transfers made last night. Aguero and Fabregas out, Costa and Yaya in.

    1. Aguero will miss at least 5-6 gameweeks. Clearly he needs to go.

    2. I want someone of comparable value so getting Aguero back in will be easier - otherwise the funds could naturally go into several players in the next few weeks, thus making it harder to get him back. Costa, like Fabregas, will bring in points consistently enough. He's the perfect placeholder. Could have brought in a third cheap striker but it would have made benching one of my front 8 a nightmare for 3 of the next 4 weeks. Boyd stays :D

    3. Not having Costa has brought me shooting up the ranks to the top 10k. However, I had mulled about getting him back this week anyways as he could get double figures somewhere around the next few weeks. It also covers all my opponents for this period.

    4. Yaya is my City coverage and is on penalties. That biotch loves his penalties. City have some superb fixtures. Yes, he is on 4 yellows and he is going to the ACON but he'll get 4 of the next 5 at a minimum and my squad is very healthy so he can be benched if he misses a game. Fabregas will return to my team soon, but Costa should score just as well over the next 5. Not enough to captain him though - That's what Hazard is for!

    5. City have some fixtures against teams that can naturally capitulate. Even if Chelsea do their usual "protect the 2-0 lead and the clean sheet", they could still get a third or a fourth against the likes of Hull.

    6. Yaya up last night, Aguero and Fabregas down. I expect more price changes as the week goes on. Had to move fast.

    7. Yaya wont play in Europe as he is banned. Chelsea have a dead rubber. Can't see Costa being played. Both should be well rested for excellent fixtures come the weekend.

Chelsea fans, Is Costa likely to see some game time with them already qualified??

Holding off on City cover until Silva returns.

    Cesc to Mirallas this week

Mirallas to Yaya or Silva next week

Like yourself I was happy to go without costa when aguero was available. Its a different story with aguero out. Costa will be back in for me aswell.

Yaya didn't go up as expected last night so you haven't missed a price rise.

I'll be getting Costa, but initially my plan is to shift him out again as the Christmas fixtures crank up. I tentatively expect to switch him for Benteke ahead of GW18 - 20 when Chelsea have West Ham (h), Saints (a), Spurs (a) while Villa have Swansea (a) and Sunderland and Palace a home.

I think you need to be careful with PL newbies over the Xmas, they have never experienced that Xmas madness. I'd nearly guarantee Costa won't play all three of the above GWs (3 games in 7 days) while Benteke will and has good fixtures.

I'll probably give RVP another week now, and get Dzeko next week having had time to see how City line attacking wise. Then its a call between Yaya and Silva for a third City spot. Silva having been out should hopefully play most of the Xmas minutes, but Yaya's penalty appeal is attractive. Backed the wrong horse (Silva) last year so we'll see.

I made the exact same transfer last night, for same reasons. Had 2 free t/f's but will probably take -4/8 to field 11 due to my defence. Sitting at about 5,000 place so can afford a hit, happy once I stay within top 10,000.

    Thinking of chambers to Zab...

    Yes.

    ---
    Re Yaya. Current team is

    Krul/Elliott
    Baines Naylor Wisdom Wilson Yun
    Sanchez Hazard Siggy Eriksen Ameobi
    Aguero Costa Austin
    £1.5m in bank

I'm a good pupil and teacher Busts (:P) gave me good advice on a triple transfer
    Elliott -> Pantilimon
    Wilson -> Chelsea def
Aguero -> any striker bar RVP
    -8 but
Aguero has to go (price wise and honestly can't play 4 def)
I need a GK, Panti's on a good run and has tasty fixtures.
With 3 of my def at home (Naylor has Spurs, Baines has QPR and Wisdom have Villa) maybe there's no rush for a Chelsea def for an additional -4.
If I get a < £9m striker I can get Yaya for Eriksen... Sounds knee-jerk but Yaya's FPL form is close to last year standard on his last 5 games.
Considering PARlance convinced me about Sakho's appeal upfront, even if Yaya rises thrice this week I can afford him easily next and should hopefully have had the luxury to see how is Silva at the week-end... Better plan?

Now that I've used my 1ft I can field as 3-5-2. Won't have a sub though, unless I make another transfer, or unless Duff makes a return.
