Believe me you're preaching to the choir when you say that. Basically what I'm saying is that I don't know which player will be the best option yet and I don't want to get the wrong one. That's my problem. Which City players do you have or are getting in?

I also love getting in before the rush but ill be captaining one of my Chelsea lads this week anyway so factoring in a minus 4 if a city player was to run amok it will probably cost me 10 pts. That's more or less worst case scenario and is also assuming the player I play instead of city player gets 2 pts.

The thought of having to play Schmeichel against City terrifies me a bit. Would a -4 for Pantillimon be silly?

At least you're playing a goalkeeper. :pac:

    Yup.
Wisdom plays for me instead of Austin
Say Dzeko gets a 17 point hat trick.

Getting Dzeko in costs me 4 of a hit + wisdoms 2.

If Dzeko gets 3 I'm losing 11 points. Big risk for 11 points when I'd be more likely to end up losing 4!!

What sets you apart from the pack is getting there before the pack!

No point sitting, waiting and transferring in when the ship has sailed!

When you look at Liverpool; Henderson , Gerrard, Lallana, Sterling (the attacking players you would consider for FF) all scored decent figures against them.

    Yes, fair enough...but...

City haven't been creating loads of chances, it's more the case that Aguero has been pulling them out of his hat. You could even say they'd be pretty poor this season if you take Aguero's class away.

I wouldn't have any confidence in any of their strikers gametime, Silva is only coming back. Outside of that you're getting into gambles.... Navas it is so :)

I got in Clichy last week (after he scored against Southampton) and he got me a nice clean sheet and 2 bps (seems to be high on this list after matches).

I've taken a punt on Yaya for this week. He will play all games available now that Aguero is out. Even if he misses a game through suspension I'd still be confident of him hitting near 20 points in the next 3 games.

Lampard has seriously been given consideration too! Tempted to replace Siggy or Boyd with him or I might just double up at the back after this GW with Demichelis!

Not if you're considering Panti for long term. (I am but haven't had the chance to change Forster yet)

And my point is Liverpool and Villa haven't been creating or scoring anything of sorts!!

City is on a different level than both these teams! Leicester away & 2 home games!! There will be goals!

Agree with that Mr.P but one thing I'd add is that while you won't fall far behind the pack by not having City coverage this week, it is an opportunity to pick up a differential for a few weeks. Look at the ownership % of the candidates you mentioned. Imagine having one of them if they manage a 15/20 pointer....

How often do players get over 15 points though? I agree with Chesty that having a major differential score big will shoot you up the rankings (heck I captained Benteke this GW) but it's not always easy to choose which one without seeing how City will lineup, etc. I missed the three match Sanchez haul but still saw green arrows. I'd say it's equally about anticipating as well as reacting; I've been firmly anti Costa for the last 1.5 months but am not stubborn enough not to bring him in if he starts firing.

    Man City's next 5.....

Leicester (A) - 2nd worst denfece in the league
    Crystal Palace (H) - 4th worst
    West Brom (A) - 9th worst
    Burnley (H) - 3rd worst
    Sunderland (H) - 5th worst

4 of the 5 worst defences in the leage Oh there will be goals!!!!*

    * just not as many as if Sergio hadn't ruined it!

Absolutely, but there's a good chance one of those players will get a 15 this week. There's also a good chance that 7 of them will get 2pts

Think I'll do chambers and aguero to kompany and benteke. Then tadic to Silva the week after when Silva should be back.

Only 3 teams have conceeded more than Everton, and City only managed a penalty against them without Aguero.

I see a few people are transferring in Kompany, but it should be mentioned that he is also on 4 yellows! As well as being an injury concern at the moment

Didn't know he was on 4 yellows! Cheers!

    Foster - Krul (inj)
Chambers (susp) - Duff (inj) - Ivan - Naylor - Cameron
Fab (susp) - Boyd - Hazard - Siggy - Chadli
Aguero (inj) - Austin (susp) - Kane

    Stupid amounts ITB 1FT

So 6 out at the moment looking like I will need to take a -8 to be likely to field 11 and thats including Chadli as a starter! Fingers crossed there is good news on Duff and he is some how able to make a come back!

Was looking at Aguero, Fab & Chambers > Costa, Sanchez & a defender.

Which defender do you think would be best to go for if I do pull the trigger on that one? Ideally would be Kompany but can't really take the chance on him not being fit.

Was planning on getting Sanchez in for Fabergas. He always looks like scoring or assisting in every match. However, after seeing Man City's fixture list there and Yaya's recent form, I'm currently torn between the two. So what do ye reckon - Sanchez or Yaya?

Did Aguero to Costa earlier. I have 4 other doubtful/injured/suspended players so need to do another transfer to field 11 for this weekend.

There is also a good chance that the goals will be spread throughout the attack! meaning a couple of 7 , 8 or 10s!

Hes the only reliable starter at the back so expect him to only miss 1 suspended game if fit.... think i will buy anyway but for Palace game

#MCFC confirm Sergio Aguero could be back for the FA Cup tie at the beginning of January or the Everton game in the EPL the following week

There will be city cover this week, but most likely in the form of a defender in place of chambers. Going to try and bank a transfer next week, hoping Aguero is not to serious and can make a quick return.

Nice long Christmas break for Sergio.

Nice long Christmas break for Sergio.

Problem with Aguero is always the length and number of come back periods.....

Need too move on chambers and Kun, no money in the bank, who do people think are the best options for them?

Who else do you have in defence and upfront? Costa & Azpi would seem to the obvious ones without knowing who you have.
