    4 for a tenner I'd imagine..

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,344 ✭✭✭ErinGoBrath

yep 4 for a tenner. Sorry about that

For any folks out there that like Duvel Blonde 8.5%, lidl are doing some Belgium ales at the minute. Picked up a 4 pack of Gauloise Blond 6.3% earlier for 7.99euro. I would describe the taste as a slightly waterier version of that Duvel and for the price it's a steal as I think those Duvels are round the 4 or 5euro mark (open to correction on that). Lovely stuff anyways, be careful though think there are 3 different types of Gauloise in store.

Picked up Leffe 4x330ml for €6 when I was in Dunnes a few days ago. Meant to post but forgot!

Picked that up tonight, nice bargain :)

Lidl pottery road laoghaire to day- good stock of the 75cl leffe for e2.99

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,788 ✭✭✭the corpo

Trouble Brewing range in Lidl now, most seem to be at 2.99, where they're typically 3.30-3.60 in the offies. Not a massive bargain, but hey, I found it too hard to resist.

Trouble brewing can be found in 4 for 9 euro deals in dunnes plus you can use the 10 off 50 which means a bulk buy works out about 1.80 a bottle

Tescos - them O'Hara's 4 for €9 is pretty good. Used to be €10 I think.

None left in my local tho

    I bought them all!:D

Pity Dunnes never seem to stock Dark Arts though as part of the range so it's never on special. I emailed them a while back and said they would review it but moving ever happened.

Well you're in luck - LIDL are now doing Dark Arts....and 2.99 is better than anywhere else.

Thanks. O Briens usually have them for 3 euro so no bargain. Would like if it was stocked in Dunnes to take advantage of the special offers they run.

My local molloys are doing 5 for 10 in the 8 degrees base range.
I think I cleared them out of the howling gale pale ale

That's usually just for the cheaper ones like Barefoot Bohemian, Howling Gale, Sunburnt Red.
Howling Gale is good stuff though.
While we're on Molloys, they have 4 cans of Northern Monk for €10, great stuff.

My local SuperValu are doing 4 affligem blonde for €10
Decided to try them and have drank 2 before half time in the Kerry game, nice and smooth, slightly bitter, but a nice bitter and definitely worth trying imo, 6.8 abv so not overpowering

They would certainly drive people to drink!

O'Briens in the Beacon Shopping Centre Sandyford have Mór barleywine by Eight Degrees (http://www.eightdegrees.ie/mor/) reduced to €2 a bottle from €4.30. It's BB 03/09/16 so once it's gone it's gone!

Dunnes have a 4 for €10 on again, presume it's mix n' match, but I just got 4 of the Cloughmore IPA (http://noreast.ie/Products/Detail/467c5913-2cba-4b0f-aaaf-a62a10c6c786) which is a great beer at that price. Some of the Sharps range are included too. The Wolf Rock Red IPA would be my pick of those.

I think the graffiti pale ale is reduced as well. It's only 3.6% mind.

Graffiti is 1.99 and porter 1.89 in mine. Rest 2.99

Adams ales reduced in Aldi to 1.79

I still haven't seen a Perfect Storm in ALdi, there's a sign for it but no ale. Just the Golden Ratio stuff.
    Anyone seen it?
Finally got my hands on some Perfect Storm in Aldi, last pair left in Terenure.
Very nice and cheap for €2.19 a bottle. Not overly hoppy for an IPA and it's only 4.5%, which is more of a session IPA ABV.
