Yep, I've work to be done on the 9-5, and I cant do it myself cos well ive no time, while the guy im after to do it has the parts and the time, i just wish i didnt have to pay him

It was a 1992 Continental R. So old fashioned, but the utter effortlessness of the thing was just madness, even if I was just crawling through Dublin traffic for most of it.

Having a really odd problem on the E39. Sometimes when the cruise control is activated it will start braking randomly and disengage the cruise because of this, this has twice made the Traction light appear along with a Yellow Handbrake light ((!)).

Tonight and a few nights ago it caused the Transmission to log a fault and transmission cog light to appear but this goes away and stops appearing until cruise is activated again and it starts to brake which I think is confusing the transmission and causing it to throw an error. The transmission shifts fine in all modes, D, DS and Manual.

I'm led to believe this is a brake switch problem as that would cause the random braking, no?

So, if you call for a pickup and arrange to meet at a certain, if you don't show up within 15 minutes, and don't answer you phone, you do not get to call me 45 minutes later and act angry when I've ****ed off home and you finally bother your arse to show up.

At least, it gave me an excuse to thake the Rx out for a good hard run. But it's showing a new problem now. This little yellow light keeps flashing in the tacho'.... it's shaped like a car with two lines behind it.

Seems to show up when I'm going around corners.

Not yet.... got used to it being strangled... so used to it I didn't notice. Put my foot down like I was used to doing and it just shot off and squirmed.

On the flipside, it ****ing goes like shtink.

Cruise control module or break pedal sensor would be the most obvious. Although if there's no faults showing up it could be a damaged wire going to a sensor.
