I got offered my place on Friday :) couldn't believe how quickly I heard back, still waiting for my irish result on weds eeeeek!! I'm based in galway so hoping I don't have to go too far either ... If I get the c3. The on site introduction is in nuim, is that for everyone around Ireland?

Well done, how did you find the irish interview? I have my lc result wednesday too... so nervous waiting to see if I got in and if I got my Irish! wish this week was over...

I found the irish interview ok, I could understand everything but it went so quickly I don't know what was coming out of my mouth. It was difficult going from the English interview to the irish, I definitely would have rathered the irish first. Anyways it goes so quickly even if I had learned off sentences I probably wouldn't have used them.
How did you find your one? Hopefully we both see high honours on weds !!!

Hope so too, was one man writing in your irish? he had a line down the middle of the page in mine n was writing away but he asked me no q's at the end! I couldnt remember the future tense for to eat, something we learn in primary school, felt like running out then! I was most worried about the modh coll question, I flew through that with no bother! Its so hard to know, yeah going staight to Irish was hard, this waiting afterwards is worse.

Did anybody else waiting to hear from Hibernia get an email today sayin they were doing a moderate process and will let us know before 22nd of August? when is the first induction day?

The best of luck everyone waiting on results tomorrow-You will all be fine- all C3's and above :)

I got my husband to take my photo for the student card and sent it off..Saturday the 6th of September in Maynooth is the induction, online lectures start w/c 15th of September.

I have a friend who applied also and she got an email saying they were doing a moderate process and will send word before 22nd of August-what is that about?!

Did anyone request feedback on the Gaeilge interview, I did and got a phone call last week-found it so informative and helpful especially in the areas I need to work on-nice to hear what the interviewers thought too considering we are all so hard on ourselves and it's like a blur when you you come out!

I am working part time at the moment while also getting social welfare because I'm on casual employment. Is anyone else in the same shoes as me? Just wondering have you been in touch with your local office ?

Well done on the gaeilge!! :)
I am not in that position, but I will be on Maternity Leave next feb and it will be impossible for me to return to a full time job with the amount of time we need off in year 2. Its crazy so it is - 7 weeks before xmas and 10 after! Are you going to enquire? Im sure it wont affect u until we have a teaching practice and you have to get in to sign on. Dunno how the hell im going to pay for this either!!!

I read somewhere there was because when I started revising for LC I got nollaig mac congáils irish grammar book in English as I literally didnt have a focal. found it great. going to get the irish version of this though.
