Your videos are excellent please keep doing them. Some bits are hilarious (don't know if you're intentionally being funny, i think it's an intentional dry humour though) like the shot of the pork medallions in the oven hahahah

    Challenge accepted.

In staying with boards tradition would we be able to train in RAW beforehand?

Would I be right in saying the cardio today is optional?

  • Subscribers Posts: 6,408 ✭✭✭conzy

Kind of.. But I'm going balls deep :pac: I didnt do much cardio after the monster depletion sessions (an hour long walk and my usual bike commuting) so I'm going to do 45 minutes today and tomorrow morning. Just cross trainer at about 120-130bpm I think it will help loosen up the legs for tomorrow evening's workout too.

Probably wise but I'd imagine it would be very easy to give it a miss :pac:

    New submission for the OED:

    carbiness
adj - state of happiness and excitement at the prospect of eating carbohydrates or having eaten carbohydrates, esp. after a period of carbohydrate restriction.

Definite carbiness the whole second half of that :

    Great work on all fronts!

Fair play on the videos and being so dedicated to the diet plan. I don't think I'd have the patience for it.

What are your aims as regards the diet? And how long do you plan on doing it for?

  • Subscribers Posts: 6,408 ✭✭✭conzy

thanks man, I'm going to run it for 4 weeks, take a week of maintenance on holidays and run it for another 4-6 weeks when I get back and see where that leaves me. If it goes well it should put me in the low 70s and keep / increase my 1rms and I should be around 10% bodyfat. I know @ 75kg I'm already in "do you even lift" territory so people are wondering why I am cutting. But for science / as a challenge I'd like to see could I get very lean

I am well used to being in a deficit and counting calories so the diet has not been a huge shock to the system for me. I will do a review over the weekend, a review of the process as opposed to its effectiveness.

I think I mentioned it in one of the videos but if you went from a strength program and were eating 4000 calories a day into this I dont think many people could hack it. I was already used to high volume / GBC style training, already tracking macros, and already dieting for 10 weeks. So I was in an ideal situation to start it

    Depletion workout, 2 rounds of:

    3 x 15 Leg Press 105kg

    3 x 15 Incline Bench 36kg

    3 x 15 Calf Raise seated 60kg
    3 x 15 Dumbell preacher curl 7.5kg
    3 x 15 Tricep pushdown 70

oh my damn, at the start of the second circuit your body and mind start conspiring against you

"Do we really need to be lean?"
"We should do a strength program"
"ooh ooh we should do a bulk"
"have some elbow pain, this should stop him"

Anyway glad to have that sorted, cardio tomorrow and thursday morning, more resistance training thursday. As someone who never really used the leg press I am now doing 22+ metric tonnes of volume per week. dem quads

    Usual warmup

ATG pistol squats on a step

Reaally like these, going to keep incorporating them and continually add weight / reps in an effort to add stability to my hips / keep the knees from caving

    Cardio
    50 mins crosstrainer 120-130bpm

    IMG_20140813_114220.jpg

    Its all about being prepped

    IMG_20140813_101112.jpg

Also ordered an obscene amount of quest bars and flapjacks thanks to JJayoo
