Why would an international site care about political correctness towards Irish women?

I was been sarcastic, not that its the site that would care.

They're the Foddiners turkin' er Jerbs an' a-Wimmenfolk. You corral them in the top haggart there, I'll go rustle up an angry mob.

I'd be interested to know how they come up with their results.

Do they just ask people to rank from a list? Rank based on a number of photographs? Either way it's unlikely to be very scientific.

    There's nothing scientific about it.

New applicants are rated by existing members.

They are not getting everything wrong if they are saying that Norwegian women are the best looking in the world, but if they are rating women from the USA ahead of Germany, then I think that they are deluded.

Do you mean the average of each country or just the top few percent?

Irish people have a tendency to take a random photo of themselves and use that. Whereas a lot of other countries seem to use more professional photos, with the use of lighting and backgrounds etc.

    But we are still ugly...

The ratings are based on the percentages of successful applicants from each country.

EDIT: if that's not what you meant, my personal opinion is that Germany has a higher percentage of very attractive looking women than the USA.

Well, the US is a great big melting pot so it's not that crazy. A large, diverse gene pool.

The Dutch and Danes are very attractive to me.

Well then, of the two nations, I may be biased towards the Fräuleins. :pac:

What troubles me is the Irish Times continuing slide into complete mediocrity. The IT has generally been my paper of choice since I started reading newspapers as it was of a much higher standard than anything else that was available. This no longer seems to be the case, Ireland seems to be sorely lacking in terms of decent print media.

"We" are not ugly. We're not Mediterranean/Californian-looking, because we have sh1t weather and several months of the year may as well be in complete darkness.
Overall, Irish people are starting to exercise a lot more too and becoming interested in healthy food.
There's nothing wrong with pale skin, and while overall we're not that beautiful, it doesn't mean we're entirely the opposite of the spectrum and ugly. There are lots and lots of gorgeous Irish men and women.
Those who say "we" are ugly - speak for yourselves, please. :)

I've actually never made a cup of tay believe it or not. What's the difference between a strong cup of tay and a weak cup of tay?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,628 ✭✭✭Femme_Fatale

Strong cup: you add water to your teabag (and mash the teabag)
Weak cup: you add teabag to your water, no further action needed

    Reads very suggestive. :)

How much milk do you add though?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,622 ✭✭✭Ruu

    Just a splash.

Ah, no, mashing the teabag doesn't mean it's strong. i like it middling to weak and mashing is required. :)

This is a very individual thing, even with strong tea, you can make it milky based on your preference.

All tea tastes metallic to me, except for strawberry flavoured tea. :)

Anyone who likes theirs really weak will want to do it themselves when a stranger offers. Anyone who likes it strong will ask for the bag to be left in.

In between you have to know how to make the tae to know what they mean by strong or weak. It will be as strong or as weak as you think it should be which you will achieve by a the subtle manoeuvring, squeezing and timing of the bag while closely monitoring the changes in the colour of the water. The more manoeuvring, squeezing, time and darker colour means the stronger it is. But you cant go too far or you may as well have just left the bag in. And all the feedback you'll ever get is "Jaysus thats a grand cup of tae" which means spot on and "Thats grand thanks" which means it'll have to do.

Some ugly men (of any nationality) look like well used teabags, so it's on topic in a way.
