I'll make sure to put a question mark at the end of it next time. Just so you can get your head around it.

    thanks for the clarification redbaron
maybe if a question is being directed at an individual, it might work best to address it to them also. just in my experience this is best i find. but i am relatively new to boards.ie and wouldnt like to make any real assertions at this point.

The clamouring for Klopp on this thread reminds me of the clamour for Fellaini.

How so? Not even sure what this means tbh.

Imagine we got Kroos and Reus. Mmmmmmm
    Kreus.

    Kreus and Matagawa

or perhaps destroying the united midfield was no major feat last year..
    (on occasion)

TBF, Fellaini did destroy most midfields in the EPL last season. And the majority of supporters on here were crying out to sign him, until we signed him.

He's having a rough patch, hasn't been an easy season for any player, next season will be a different story with him.

I reckon that if Fellaini was paired with a quality holding midfielder, He could be a bit of a beast. Sadly, I don't think he'll do that for us as I would have Kroos and (I know nothing) about Carvalho.

If someone quotes you in their post, it means they are addressing you. Simples. I've just done it.

Once again the first 25mins are crucial to utd tonight. We have to win but Bayern arent that kind of team just to play at home on the break so they'll be going all out and their pride was hurt in the last game so they'll be fired up. I rather play exactly like we did in the last game. We looked very dangerous on the counter. Dont go all out attack from the 1st minute, keep the game tight and we will get chances.

an early goal for either side, daft as it seems, wont suit united.
we want nil all at HT, and then for united to knick one as the second half dwindles out
the Little Pea could be a real hero tonight
    unlikely i'll concede though

yes he did with his elbows
he played off the striker mostly for Everton last season
he was moved to CM against Wigan in the FA Cup & they lost 3-0

There are no negatives to Utd scoring an early goal.

    I dont agree.
There will be goals in this certainly.
The earlier one team scores the more likely we are eliminated, imo.
Unless of course we put 3 past Neuer in the first half without return

Exactly, gets the crowd edgy, throws Bayern off a little, maybe makes them nervous, nervous teams make more mistakes

Worse if we go 2 up early on. Its a very dangerous lead. Better to keep it tight.

    ok.
watch the game unfold this evening.
i can guarantee you that should a goal be scored within the first 20 mins of the tie tonight, regardless of what team scores it, you will see United bowing out of the CL for 2013/14.
a strong basis for this is a critical differentiator between moyes and pep.

tactical nous is crucial at this point of the competition.
Klopp nearly overturned a headless RM last night.
Larry White looked clueless for most of his visit to the Bridge.

i'd still be nervous if a Moyes inspired United are wandering in at HT with a three nil lead

3-0 early on would be a disaster!

When we score this season and take a lead, we sit back, usually quickly when against "tougher" teams.

An early goal tonight for United! and I would imagine it will be 11 defenders in the box afterwards, with Bayern coming at us for the rest of the match.

    No.
An early goal (before 20 mins) and United are going out.
This is the case regardless of what team scores it.
You can ridicule tomorrow if I am wrong

You make a compelling argument alright yeah, I would go so far as to say that even if we are faced with the opportunity to score a penalty and there is only 19 minutes on the clock, do some time wasting to get it past the 20 minute mark (when it is obviously safer to score) or just miss it on purpose and wait till a better time to score.

The idea that you consider Klopp sending out his team to purposefully not even attempt to score for 20 minutes is funny to me though, wouldnt bother bringing up Blanc, as usual with him he shat the bag and that will be what kills his managerial career, too negative.

Oh yeah, and predicting United to go out when Bayern are in and around 1/9 to qualify is not exactly sage like vision

Isnt the stat along the lines of, havent lost a game when taken the lead this season?

For me Fletcher and Shinji have to start tonight, thought it was crazy Fletcher played 90 minutes last weekend. Think he has been superb since coming back all things considering and keeps the ball moving quicker than any other midfielder we have. Shinji has really taken his chance over the last few weeks and surely Moyes has to start him? He played a little deeper last week when he came on against Bayern and look very good, he will be vital to us on the counter attack. Id play him behind Rooney with Welbeck and Valencia either side of him. Gives us the best chance (even if very small) I think. For me, DDG, Jones, Rio, Vidic, Evra, Carrick, Fletcher, Shinji, Welbeck, Valencia and Rooney.
