My transfer will be Ozil out for Silva. February is looking insanely tough for Arsenal.

You mean your transfer was Ozil to Silva seeing that he is in your team in the Rate my team thread that you posted in advance of that post?

Should have waited till after the game tonight.

What are peoples opinions on van Persie? Sold aguero for dzeko, and have over 6million burning a hole in my pocket.

Thinking of ade to vp and making him captain v Fulham which I think could justify a hit,

I brought him in last week.

This is cruel, I was looking forward to getting rid of Clyne next week... he'll prob start the next 2 and will be back to his full time job of annoying us after that.

It seems a minimum of -4 hit for every GW is inevitable right now with so many injuries and now Blank GWs taking shape.

    Speak for yourself, i haven't needed a -4 for about 10 GW now :p

Any word on Evans injury yet?

I am in a spot of bother as I have Bruce & McNaughton who now are both dropped. Other 2 defenders are Flanagan (V Arsenal next) and Bennett (V City next).

Giroud needs to go as well to be replaced by a City attacker.

I think my FT has to go on getting Giroud out and after that I will have to see if taking a points hit to sort out the defensive mess as outlined above is worth it. It probably is as I will get 0 if i do nothing and will end up only -2 (-4+2) worse off assuming i can pick a defender that will actually play!

    Johnson > Mata
    Adebayor > Sturridge

What are people's opinions on this? Is it a gamble to double up with Suarez and Sturridge?

Im also considering bringing him in and making him capt. There are a couple of issues though utd havent looked like giving anybody a hiding all year and due to them playing arsenal 3 days later I can see him being taken off early. Im definetly getting in one of mata/rvp this week just cant decide which one.
On mata who took corners/ fkicks for utd against stoke with both him and rooney on the pitch?

Not really a gamble to double up on them, they tend to score more individually when both are on the pitch together *

(*this is based purely on anecdotal evidence and I have done absolutely no research to back up this theory)

I can't seem to get rid of him either,at least he actually played more than 10 minutes this week and got an assist.Only had him in the team as I had nobody else fit.

Everyone has Suarez so he's irrelevant. Good transfers.

It should also be noted that Mata is cuptied for the CL so he should be getting full minutes in the PL until utd get knocked out of the CL.

Why get rid of Giroud? Liverpool have been fairly brutal at the back lately.

    Ozil >>>> Lallana

    Aguero >>> RVP

think he is worth a gamble for a few eeks. Will easily switch to Aguero when he returns.

Southampton's fixtures are very nice so a no-brainer for me

For this week which option do we think will get most points. I have 2 transfers.
Option1 Suarez (c) sturridge mata ( will only make 1 transfer)
    Option2 Suarez RVP(c) navas ( requires 2 transfers)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 541 ✭✭✭Hackers

Main reason would be a fear of what City will do in their next 3 games. I have RVP and Suarez as my other 2 attackers so I will not be getting rid of those. Giroud plays Man U after Liverpool too while City's 3 games are against Norwich, Sunderland & Stoke

I would definitely go for that, cannot see any downside, especially with Arsenal's next 2 games

i'd go with option 1 as mata as probably someone you could see yourself keeping long term combined with 1 less transfer and city possibly having 2 gameweeks off if you go with navas.
don't blame me if RVP runs riot but I think 1 is much safer.

i really do need Carroll to succeed in his appeal.

What is the situation regarding Adebayor? Injured? Just a knock?

I was looking at jumping on the Adam Johnson bandwagon this week but saw his fixtures - Hull, City (a), Arsenal (a), no game, liverpool (a).

Tough run for Sunderland after this week.

Thinking of Nolan now, Carroll back boosts his value a lot IMO. Will wait until the Carroll suspension appeal is heard.

I've asked 3 times too. Seems to be no news. Need to know by tonight's price rises ;)

No news is (usually) good news as far as injuries go.

Was mata or rooney on set pieces against Stoke?
