Having used the wildcard, no immediate transfer in mind.

    Maybe Özil out for Mata.

Happy with my team for next week. Having brought Sturridge in this week as an emergency transfer for Aguero, I could be influenced towards jumping on a United bandwagon (Rooney or RVP) for the Fulham game if I'm convinced by either today. RVP would involve a points hit (but I'd probably captain him) which would probably lead to me downgrading Koscielny, but I don't actually need to downgrade Koscielny, because I've 3 defenders I'm happy with for this week, so I just don't know what I will do. Thinking if I make any transfers it'll probably just be Sturridge for Rooney.

Will be selling Carzola for a cheap mid, Mata,Hazard,Yaya and Lalanna are my others.

Ericksen not an option so unsure where to go? 1 week punt on AJ v Hull at home possibly...

    Ozil-Mata
    Aguero-Rooney

Either Sturridge or Adebayor out for Benteke
Possibly Baines out for someone, anyone. I don't care who.

Lol. It took 10 to 12 weeks to sort my team out after the week 4 WC. Looks like it'll take another 10 weeks to sort my current mess out. If I don't laugh I'll cry.

    Boring transfer
    Whittaker out and Collins in

Really hoping Johnny Evans isn't going to be out next week now, that would necessitate a transfer.

Posted in the wildcard thread that Arsenal could be light in midfield as their new signing is gonna be out for up to 3 months.

Selling due to that, tough games coming up and can see them having a tough time in Feb.

    Puncheon -> Lallana

So with Ade injured I'll have to sell him instead. Looking at Baines and Ade out for RVP and O'Shea. 4 point hit and 0.0 in the bank

Edit: Wes Brown is 0.5m cheaper but doesn't seem to gain as many bonus points. Still, I'll probably need that 0.5m and I hate having nothing in the bank

Haven't a clue tbh but I'm selling him anyway. Can't ignore the lure of RVP v Fulham.

Fancy a bit of Oscar at home v Magpies...though i already have Hazard, will wait till Monday probably.

Will probably get Mata for Ozil and then maybe RVP for Sturridge or JRod for a hit. My defence is a shambles though, only Kos is a assured starter, others are Kolarov, Coleman, Bruce and Marriapa. Big decisions this week.

So is this a good idea? Baines+Adebayor out and Brown+RVP in.

Not really. No point in having Brown past next gameweek. He has City, Arsenal and Liverpool away and a no gameweek too. get him back in for the double GW or after Liverpool away.

No room in my midfield for Mata yet, so will either get rid of Chester for a cheapy or bank the transfer for next week where I'll swap Johnson for Mata.

OK. Fair enough. Any suggestions for a defender 4.8 or under? I have Azpil, Koscienly, Bruce ( needs to go too), Mariappa and Baines (who has to be sold to fund RVP purchase)

    Someone from West Ham?

Unless I get another injury, Januzaj is going.

Adebayor is beginning to fall but hopefully he'll stay above the 100% mark and get me a rise before I ship him.

Not buying the RVP rush, Utd are not playing well and it is a lot of money to be throwing at a player.

First I heard of it, couldn't get logged in this morning, was going to change him for Flanagan (Liv), same price, pity.

From my point of view I think RVP and a West Ham defender will get more points over the next 5 or 6 weeks than Baines and Adebayor. I'm not bringing in a City attacker and already have Suarez and Sturridge.

He's not long back from injury either, you'd think he'd be a safe bet.

Hopefully a precaution . also seeing that adebayor went off close to end with an injury. Can't seem to find out for sure

having 7.5m locked up in a defender is crazy imo, while I agree with your comparisons, and no knowing your team, you could put the money to better use than bringing in RVP, united are sh!t atm, they also have a week with no game, so your going to have him sitting on the bench I assume.

Hes expensive, but he has 9 goals and 2 assists in 12 starts. It's not as good as last season, but it's still a fairly consistent return. Fulham are possibly the worst team in the league right now. If I could, I'd have RVP in my team, but I'll have to make do without. Not looking forward to next sunday at all though, I'd be happy if he just got the one goal.

    Boruc, Kelvin-Davis
    Baines, Koscienly, Azpil, Bruce, Mariappa
    Silva, Hazard, Mata, Lallana, Gnabry
    Suarez, Sturridge, Adebayor

I'm all ears and open to suggestions. 3.2 in the bank.

Heard adebayor was injured, whether just a knock or serious, don't know yet, have him and Dzeko along with Suarez since Aguero got injured. Match of the day should tell the story.

would you consider Johnson - the guy is on fire atm,
Ade is pretty useless atm - if dzeko were to start tomorrow and score then I think that he would be a good replacement.

But seeing your team and the fact that untied are home next week - Fulham could be in for a hammering - but potentially you want RVP to be scoring at least 2 goals to make it worthwhile, but with the arsenal game 3 days after will RVP finish the game v Fulham?

Johnson is on fire, but no more than Ramsey earlier the season I think that ship has sailed. Plus the Sunderland fixtures are taking a turn for worse. I'm not willing to sell one of my big 4 mids to get Johnson in and don't want to switch to a 2 striker attack either. I upset my whole team to get RVP in for that Palace game at the start of the season and an wary of doing the same again but the bottom line is that Baines has to go and I need a good striker until Aguero returns.

RVP and Ollson would be my suggestion. With reid coming back from injury and a new lb signed and demel made of glass the west ham defence is a minefield. Ollson is guaranteed for GW 28 & 29 which is important. You could then transfer adrian in for davis to get west ham coverage giving you perfect rotation with boruc. Having 2 utd attacking players based on the evidence so far this season may not be wise for too long though. Im still undecided which one of mata and rvp I want. Cant justify spending over 20% of my overall budget on 2 players from a team that hasnt been convincing in attack all season.

Why is it crazy? He averages better points that most midfielders at 5.1ppg? Bang for buck not many players give a better return so far this season.

Ya. Olsson looks like a good move alright. I can play Mariappa next week and bench Olsson. As regards the two United attacking players......... I agree that it might sound foolish to have two of them considering their form but I don't know who else I can pick. Lambert and JRod are out of the equation because I already have Lallana and one attacker from Southampton is enough. I have Sturridge and Suarez. Giroud has horrible fixtures. Benteke and Villa still have a lot of convincing to do. Forget about Chelsea strikers. Don't know who will play for City and how much game time they'll all get. All in all I'm not left with a lot of choice really!!

Mata's chance creation stats are excellent and even if not winning games United will score goals. Mata has been at the heart of everything for them so far. I think he's starting to look like a valuable FPL asset.

RVP if you can afford him will also return well with the service he'll get.

United also have the advantage of a garuateed game in GW29, and not a bad game too.

I have both and hope to hold onto them.

RVP will be coming in to my team alright. It's just the replacement for Baines that I need to worry about. Going to have a closer look today but my original pick of a Sunderland defender was rightly shot down and the suggestion of Olsson was a good one. I'd like a West Ham defender ideally but don't know how they'll line up yet. I could always get Reid in for 4.7 and play Mariappa next weekend incase Reid comes in off the bench again. Or just go with Olsson and save that 0.5m over Reid. I prefer West Hams fixtures to Norwich's and I think with Reid back West Ham will be much more solid defensively. I might also try to find someone just for next week and when Reid is settled back in I'll just go for him...................

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,274 ✭✭✭✭FHFC

The Gw 28 & 29 advantage is a key attraction of the Norwich option. I've Brown and will be trying to switch to Olsson after next week but may have other priorities.

RVP could potentially be FF gold. A lot of people will simply not be able to afford him and would have to really disrupt their team to get him in. What it means for me is no Baines obviously, and only time will tell how that affects me. The other thing it means is that there is definitely no chance of getting Yaya now. If Silva does get injured I'll have to go to Navas.

When I think of a couple of the transfers I made/didn't make that would have saved so many points and so much money........ Not getting Ramsey. No need to elaborate there. And selling Lallana when Silva came back from injury. I got Lallana first when he was 6.2m?? Had to buy him back last week for 7.6. When I think of the points I missed out on from him. Those are two of the major decisions that I got wrong that cost me big this season. The other was ripping my team apart in GW4 to get RVP in.:mad::mad:

need shot of bruce and i suspect mariappa too.

had planned on bringing evans in but will have to see what his injury is like.
might just take the norwich advice from this forum and switch bruce to olsson.

if mariappa loses his place i might bring in joel ward for him as i'd still like palace defensive cover. will obviously only do one of these, (and assuming i get no injuries to more important players)
