This outfit has always given us problems. 2014 Championship Q/F only for 2 late Paddy McBrearty points we were gone, and if both Clarke and Campbell are playing then we will have to be a lot tighter at the back than we have been so far this year.

No they haven't. Even he who will not be named took a hand at them up in Armagh.

Are we the only County that doesn't release a team to the meeja?

I thought this was supposed to be on Eir Sports?

    No Murphy from the start.

Patton for McGinley and Leo for Doherty the changes.

Negative. El Classico is on. They advertised it as being on Eir Sports 2 at 7.10pm

    This is bizarre

I am steaming it via the Eir Sports app. Just seen Armagh take the lead.

On my Sky Box 422 says it is showing Donegal v Armagh

But someone else watching on Sky is seeing foreign sports too.

I see Armagh haven't changed at all with the latest generation. Referee needs to get a hold of this game

Was it Grimley who stamped on Eoghan Ban Gallagher’s ankle?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,253 ✭✭✭Redsoxfan

    Shocking conditions.

    Needed that goal, lovely move.

Need to try and avoid anything dumb. Armagh trying everything to get a reaction.

Some really dumb shots given the conditions.

Going in at half time ahead again. Need to kick on in the second half and not do like the last two games.

Charlie Vernon I think. Absolute filth

    Was Stephen Sheridan.

But aye, filth, hope he gets a ban.

Yep you're right, just saw Aaron Kernan grass on one of his own

Great to have you back Michael

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,253 ✭✭✭Redsoxfan

Michael with 1-2 from play. Almost unheard of these days. He made the difference with good performances from Leo and Eoghan Bán as well.

    Good to get the win.

But that wasn't great at all.

Not great but a win is a win. Great to have Murphy back. 1 -02 from play first day back in the conditions and against those niggling hounds was a great return. We could be doing with a few more weighing in with scores from play. Other than Langan`s 5 from free only 1 each from O`Donnell`s and Thompson was a poor enough return.

I dunno what's going on with Jamie Brennan.

    Unlucky to hit post.

But generally not getting or creating opportunities as much as before as far as I can see.

Some poor shooting/decisions even allowing for the conditions.

I see Ciaran McKeever is making a show of himself on twitter crying about the game.

Is the armagh club scene rife with this behaviour or is it a county team thing. I often wonder the same about the Tyrone club scene or is it just expected of county team panellists?

    Meath and Fermanagh both win

Meath have Clare away and Fermanagh at home

Fermanagh away to both Armagh and Meath

Donegal away to Cork and home to Kildare

Could lose out on head to head v Fermanagh if we don't win our last two games.

Looks like it might come down to two winner takes all matches in the last round. Meath or Fermanagh and us or Kildare.

Kildare scored 1 point in the 2nd half today.

Clearly worse than us on a bad day and no excuse if we lose in Ballyshannon.

Last night's win might give Cork a bit of confidence. Whether that will be enough after a break next week remains to be seen.

I'd like to see the following

Patton to start and stop this rotation crap

Murphy to start ahead of Gallen

Carroll to take Jason McGee's place

If Neil McGee is to be first choice this year start him ahead of McCole or McMenamin

Donal Reid reckoned Paddy McBrearty was going well in training...... I spotted him coming off the bus last night so maybe he is on track to play some part ahead of the Championship.

Not sure what is up with Paddy McGrath or when we will see Frank McGlynn.

meath 8/13 Donegal 4/1 Fermanagh 7/2 surly meath are to small and Donegal to big any thoughts

    To win or get promoted?

We possibly have McGee, McGrath and McGlynn to come into the team but maybe they are not good enough this year to make the team.
McBrearty will be a great bonus when he is fit, I suppose it will be hard for him to hit top form if he comes back straight into the Ulster championship.
