Kieran Gallagher was a very good minor around the time Conor Glass beat Donegal in the Ulster Final. So I would say he's late 20s now. Shea Malone likely young enough as prety new on the scene.

Four Masters left it behind them in ET I felt - should have been 6 up when NC go that goal which had shades of Donegal v Dublin 2014 about it.

Would be good to see Carr and Muldoon involved next year alright.

Pretty sure McGroddy was in the squad a few years ago. Can't recall now if that was before or after Jim came back.

Kieran Gallagher is 27 was on minor team in 2016 when they won Ulster. Shea Malone is 20 was with Sligo Rovers past few years. Johnny Mc Groddy was in the panel the time Paddy Carr was there.

Like Termon and Four Masters, Gweedore had the game won, until they didn't. Amazing misses towards the end of normal time that would have sealed it. Still, Naomh Conaill are relentless. I reckon they led for less time than their opponent in each of the QF, SF and again in the Final. And they did it all without Ciaran Thompson. Finbarr Roarty rightly said afterwards they were 'pissed off' hearing about the young players at other clubs, they have plenty of young talent alongside a wealth of experience. Roarty deservedly MOTM but Kieran Gallagher was outstanding also. Would be great to see if he can do it at County, we need lads like him.

Was a proper final. Fair play to both teams.

Not that it will be any consolation to Gweedore, but it was the best county final for a good few years. Young Roarty is a force of nature, but then so have Glenties been this year. Especially winning county without Ciaran Thompson.

Hopefully Kieran Gallagher will get a call up for the county team. On the evidence of his display today and in the semi-final he looks like a lad that would give us another good option in mid-field.

Roarty really is the driving force of that team.

What a leader, for one so young. Phenomenal player.

he'll go a long way in his career, a future Donegal captain 100%, fair play to him, he's absolutely brilliant

Contrast his performance to Daire O Baoill's……in the 2nd half when Roarty started to drag NC back into the game, DOB should have picked him up + man-marked him like a limpet to minimise his impact & GD would probably have won the game….instead, DOB was nowhere to be seen which is very disappointing for a county panel memebr

It's possible to praise Finnbarr Roarty without using it as an opportunity to knock another player. Young Roarty is a generational talent who could become one of the greatest players to wear the county jersey. He was immense on Sunday.

Daire O'Baoill has given great service to his club and our county. He could be in Australia, Dubai or London like other lads who could have been playing on Sunday and who would have added to the county squad this year. He could be focussing on his golf game like some others. Instead he has dedicated himself to club and county. He deserves better than cheap criticism.

    Well said.

Also it would have been up to the Gweedore management as to what role Daire O`Baoill would play and any manager looking to win a county title would want to keep him well away from one of the top defenders in the country let alone the county

I wonder are there any new inclusions onboard in Cancun? I’d imagine it’d be last year’s panel only, given the nature of the award and sponsor.

Hard to see McBrearty being effective this year with another year in the legs, especially with the relentless physical demands of na riallacha úra. Ryan looks a chap who’s not enjoying his football since Jim arrived. If Patrick retires, could we see Jim giving the armband to young Roarty? Langan looked like he was given it perhaps to try and get more out of him on his quieter days, but I feel like maybe he’s not suited to the weight of the responsibility, like Patrick, who for all his qualities, seemed to cut a figure of frustration, and didn’t seem very comfortable in his interactions with the media.

Don't get too bothered about the All Stars one way or another but really disappointed for Conor O'Donnell.

Delighted for Finbarr. What a year for him.

I thought all four were well deserved, but really delighted for young Finbarr. Disappointed for Conor O`Donnell and Ciaran Moore. Not a great fan of how the selections are made. No All Star for either of the corner back positions. The three that got All Stars for the number 2, 3, and 4 positions are all full backs and played as full backs for the year.

Luke Barrett away to Derry surprising considering the reason given for him leaving Donegal was to concentrate on his masters

Two league games in Ballyshannon and one in Letterkenny tells its own story.

So Down up first, and if we win that, winners from the preliminary round/Fermanagh.

I can see us losing to Fermanagh.
