I understand the important of ratios. But the back squat is not exactly a consist marker. The line from low bar to high bar is a gradient, not a line. If somebody adjusts there bk.sq to lift more. Their clean doesn't change.
I'm speaking in general,I've no idea how he squats 275kg.

What's his front squat max? That's a better marker imo.
If he front squats 270kg (90%) fair enough. I'm talking pony

Well obviously it's goes without saying that we're talking about a high bar back squat with good positions and a nice tempo. The back squat can be a useful constant marker if it is performed correctly. The 60%/80% ratio is fairly well accepted among coaches who follow a Russian school of thought when it comes to programming.

I wasn't questioning the 80% part. Which is more or less correlates with back to front, and front to clean both being 90% max.

I was more wondering whether Farris can actually highbar squat 300kg+. I haven't seen the 5rm set mentioned above, maybe it was the highest of highbars and he just is technically inefficient as suggest above.

Quick question lads, cause there doesn't seem to be any answers from a google search.

You know those metal collars, the smaller bendy ones, not the bigger olympic ones? How much do they weigh? a pound each? For pure vanity purposes of course :D I'd post a pic, but apparently I can't yet.

I assume you are talking about the little spring clips as opposed to collars? if so, they weight approx. two farts so I wouldn't even go there for vanity purposes, the paint that has been scratched off the plates would weight more

I was told that in order to beat the drug tests the Chinese have a surrogate team of sorts. They are hand picked because they look similar to the actual lifting team, they all train, but they are all drug free. So when the testers arrive the person they are testing isn't actually the person who is supposed to be taking the test its some drug free lookalike

I think Hanley said it better in 3 minutes.

Plus, I'd love to see him put
the seatbelt on his water cooler

Is that a euphemism for penis?
    If not, it should be

My work has a gym but I'd really prefer to use a local gym which is a little better equipped. I got in touch with the local gym and they are getting some sales person to call me and offer a corporate rate.

Is there any strategy I can use to negotiate, what does a corporate rate entail?

EQuick question folks. Been mostly into strength training over the past while so I'm fairly proficient with weights but I'm heading on me holliers in 5 weeks times. Issue is, I'm going to be staying in a hotel for majority of the time leading up to it. Obviously, I'll have to keep my diet in check but any ideas on what kind of weight training I could do to up the intensity and cut some of the body fat I've been accumulating, I'm thinking circuits and stuff like that. I've tried staying at the same training and cutting calories which works fine but just looking to up the intensity now.

Whilst there is a gym in my hotel, I'll be staying in the Wexford St./Camden St. area so anybody have any suggestions on a gym or class that might help with this kind of thing for a month?

    Cheers!

EDIT: I normally train in the morning

The two closest options in that area are probably FlyeFit on Georges St or Raw.

FlyeFit is probably the more flexible in terms of joining for the month.

Anyone care to give a rough estimate of the calories in a large ham/turkey/cheese white roll from supervalue small bit butter and mayo?
Tend to have one every Saturday morning.

    700 is a good guesstimate.

The large white roll itself is probably in the region of 310-360 kcal.

I've never done rollouts amd while it's been an optional exercise in what I've been doing in recent weeks, I haven't had time.

So I bought an ab wheel in D8 the other day.

Jesus, the DOMS. Great exercise but DOMS.
