Found 2 fibre cabs in clongriffen on the donaghmede exchange :confused:, didn't think this area had been touched yet as it's in phase 5. On my phone now, will post pictures later and add them to the map.

Well Greystones, Kilcoole (Greystones) and Newtownmountkennedy are all for Dec 2013. I think Newtownmountkennedy is all ready. Kilcoole and Greystones are currently being worked on. Some cabs in Kilcoole and plinths going in around Greystones town.

So these guys aren't messing about. They are working weekends to get as much work done before May 20th.

The engineers for KN networks said our cabinet was ordered but that we may not be able to avail of the service till around late July (probably the date that they expect to complete Greystones).

Added another in Letterkenny at Bonagee, next to the Clanree Hotel.

Yeah I know that, Sutton is the same cabs and plinths and planning notices every where, but to have something in phase 5 complete is pretty shocking.

Less then 500metres from my house :) Are these eircom only?

Just looking to see what happened, the map was listing two VDSL boxes in Ballyfermot. They've since disappeared off the map. I had received an eFibre leaflet through my post in Feb. Anyone from the area able to update? It'll be tomorrow at the earliest before I can have a walk around and see if there are indeed any VDSL boxes around.

    phill106, please resize that photo.

What do you mean by Eircom only? They belong to eircom but Eircom resell their lines to other Internet service providers. Sky, Vodafone, Magnet and Digweb should have access to them.

    Hi Red-Bairn

Once the box is in, is there an average as to when it is made live? I checked with my supplier and they said it is being done in stages, with one in may and one in december. Mine is not on may list but seems very long away if the box is in already.

Yet another cab and its mini-me companion :) , as you can see from the Google pic, not only VDSL but the normal big green telephone cab + ESB were added to this location.

They probably want to have the whole area ready with all the cabinets in place and connected to the exchange.

Have you mapped all these? Where is the power supply for that one?

Anything i've posted with pics are mapped, meaning i personally saw them....the location you mentioned had no tiny ESB box at the location. The first pic gives you a wide angle view of the area surrounding the cabs, the other two pics are its number designation, 019 is the big green cab and 019a is the new VDSL cab.

Was there possibly an ESB pole nearby? The KN guys dug up the ground between that box and the ESB pole at the top of our road.

There were ESB boxes everywhere, outside houses and shops etc. its not the first time i have seen a location without a very small ESB box....if you look at other pics i have posted you can see some locations dont have those ESB boxes and some do.

How many have you mapped in Limerick so far?

How many have you mapped in Limerick so far?

A fair few, but there are no doubt tons more....lots on the Ennis Road area i have not mapped + i havent done Raheen or Dooradoyle + i spot cabs i missed around the city centre.

Pretty sure there must be a few dozen of unmapped cabs all over....but my feet are killing me! :(

This location has new installs of both the big green cab + VDSL....the Google map is blank but the location is accurate: http://goo.gl/maps/YCbXa

Added another in for Newbridge ,

    Kilblein Park

    53.173569,-6.792737

Do you think areas with cabinets in place should be live by May ?

Could not see the point in Eircom paying for the Cabinet , paying for the install and then leave it lying there not making money
