Just looking to see what happened, the map was listing two VDSL boxes in Ballyfermot. They've since disappeared off the map. I had received an eFibre leaflet through my post in Feb. Anyone from the area able to update? It'll be tomorrow at the earliest before I can have a walk around and see if there are indeed any VDSL boxes around.

Have they disappeared off the Fusion Table?

The rendering of the new additions map is sometimes a bit random.

da ladz doin their bit. :D

I saw the KN network lads (behind the reel of sub ducting) just chilling beside Greystones Tennis Club when out for a walk earlier.

Edit: Also added in two locations on the map for Greystones. One had a plinth and ESB box installed and another location has a cabinet installed (first one I've seen in the town).

Nope, it's still there and it's literally right behind my apartment block. Hopefully that means I can avail of it through my phone line soon :)

I've seen planning application notices on a good few existing cabs around Clontarf in Dublin over the weekend even though its down for phase 5.

Nice to see but not to be confused with 'there will be a cab here soon'. Last weekend I visited a number of locations on earlier phase exchanges where the planning permission had already been granted back in Nov '12 and the cabs have yet to appear...

notahappycamper, if you are passing one of these again could you see if there is a planning reference number on the site notice - I'd expect it to be in the form BC0222/13. If there is can you PM it to me and the location?

I've been tracking the existing planning applications through the councils planning site but there seems to be mismatches between what is out there in terms of site notices and the applications that are viewable through their website.

It might be Google installing their TiSP network...

Excellent! That road looping around from the Blanch centre roundabout around to Millenium park at Mountview rd has 8 old cabs and that's only the second VDSL cab to be spotted (I take that route every few days to check on them). I'd expect a few more will appear around there shortly.

Added QKR 051A - Matthew Hill, Cork.

There is 3 now. I mistakenly added the one Chizler added above, so that one can be ignored.

However, I added one beside Huntstown Wood.

Have added the below location to the "not main map".
    Location; http://goo.gl/maps/NCmyb

    New picture;
    251726.jpg

I'll look at the "usual" locations around Leixlip over the next few days to see if I can find any more of them.

I'm between Carlow and Enniscorthy, so looks like I'm not getting this for a while.

Eircom's website is pretty bad too. No information on upload speed or contention, just up to 70mb download.

  • Registered Users Posts: 61 ✭✭Akenny010

Anyone know if there coming to Enniscorthy Co.Wexford??

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 252 ✭✭10belowzero

Enniscorthy is being done at present under phase iv, I see the chizler has mapped 3 new cab's there all ready (fair due's to chizler), phase iv is well advanced now and well ahead of target.

Somebody said about a week back that they were talking to the KN network engineers and the engineers were bringing in loads of cabinets to Enniscorthy and Wexford. They said they have "5years work ahead of them" and the Gorey and other places will be started on soon after there I thinks. :D
