Hello - I have been waiting for someone to post a "Due in November" thread, but decided to do it myself:).
I am due the 8th of Nov and today, made my appointment for the first scan - got a date for the first week in May. Exciting times. So far I have been feeling pretty good.
Are there any other November 2013 pregnant ladies out there?:pac:

    Hi Puddle Duck,
I'm new to boards but also due in November so will be joining you for the next few months!
Just found out at the weekend and its a surprise to say the least! Still in shock!
Have actually been feeling pretty rotten the past week so am relieved in a way to find out I'm not actally sick!
Where did you make your appointment for and are you getting an early scan?
I'm busy researching all the hospital choices at the moment:eek:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 72 ✭✭puddle duck

    Hi BriarPatch
Congrats. I found out 2 weeks ago with a home rest and then made an appointment for my GP and she confirmed the pregnancy and gave me a referral letter for the rotunda. I had picked there based on recommendations from others. This is my first pregnancy - so a bit lost. I don't have an early scan. It didn't cross my mind. Maybe I should look into that :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 78 ✭✭chuckster

    Hey congratulations ladies!

I also found out 2 weeks ago that I'm due around the 6th November. First scan isnt for another month.

First baby for me.. I'm very excited!! :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 72 ✭✭puddle duck

Just to let you know Briar Patch i have booked an appointment for an early scan on week 10 - fingers crossed everything goes OK. Some days I wonder am i still pregnant as I feel "normal".

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 303 ✭✭BriarPatch

    Congrats and welcome Chuckster!:D

I think I will go with Rotunda also Puddle Duck as it is closest to work so will be handiest, I tried to call up this afternoon to make an appointment myself but it always went to a machine, I moved last year so don't have a GP around here to go to yet
Depending on when I get my first appointment I may book an early scan as we are heading on hols for middle 2 weeks of May so if my date is after that I'll probably go with an early scan for peace of mind before I go!

I've had extreme tiredness all day today in work, funny though as soon as I came home I've perked up alot!!

BriarPatch, what date do you think are due?
I have the same reason for getting an early scan as I am flying the end of April and I want to make sure everything is ok before we go and then have the 12 week scan when we get back.
Put the feet up for the evening and relax :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 303 ✭✭BriarPatch

I think November 13th based on those online calulators!

Aw that was good timing on our part to fly just at the begining of the second trimester! Fingers crossed everything will go smoothly before then

Must try calling again tomorrow and finding a GP to attend coz I already have some questions that can't wait until May time to be answered!

Hi Puddleduck and other November ladies
I am also due the 8th November and was keeping an eye to see if anyone was posting yet so delighted to see this! Im very excited and petrified at the same time!

Found out for sure last week with confirmation at the GP! Its my first so I havent a clue where to start and wish I had listened more closely to friends and sister about the hospital options before as cant really ask them just yet! I rang a few Dublin hospitals today to get more information but I just dont know where or what option is best. Can I ask how you made your decision on hospital options?

I also asked if the hospital would do an early scan and was told no unless a risky pregnancy, did you book early scans at a private clinic? Would like to do for peace of mind.

    thanks for any advice

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 72 ✭✭puddle duck

    Congrats Knock13:)
Its my first pregnancy also, so we can all learn together. I picked the Rotunda based on other peoples recommendations and its close to home and work. I booked my scan with a private clinic. If you google private scans you will see a lot of options. I am happier now that I have booked an early scan.
Anyone having morning sickness yet? Its no for me and I hope it stays that way :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 303 ✭✭BriarPatch

    Welcome Knock 13:D

Got through to the Rotunda this morning and the lady said she will send the information out in the post, hope it won't take too long!

I chose it based on the fact I was born there myself and its the closest to work which will be handy for appointments later on. Probably could have given it more thought and research but I was eager to get registered somewhere already.

Puddle Duck- Luckily no morning sickness to report yet although I have today added leg cramps to my list of complaints, am googling away here now and trying to convince myself I don't not have a DVT!

    Hi Ladies,

Puddle Duck... no morning sickness but I've been sick in the evenings... it's delightful! Normally I'm starving in the evenings after work/gym but now I'm either sick or not hungry. Glad it's that way though coz it might give the game away if I was running off to the toilet in work all morning!!

I'm already getting questions about why I'm not going over over Paddys wkend because I'm normally on a mad one haha. I'm jut saying the OH suprised me with a weekend away... I'm in Australia the last year & a half (I'm from Dublin) so at least I have less people to hide it from until i know everything is ok!

6 weeks yesterday (according to the doc).... seems like forever away until 40 weeks!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 72 ✭✭puddle duck

Hi ladies. Had an eventful day yesterday. Went to the bathroom yesterday evening and there seemed to be fresh blood when I went to the toilet. Not much but enough to get me worried. I only got it once yesterday but I rang my doc and she told me to go to A&E in the rotunda. So off we went. It was a little earlier than I was expecting - to enter the place for the first time. They did a scan but told me it is too early to hear a heartbeat - they couldn't see anything. So they are going to ring me today and schedule an appointment for an another scan for the next week or 10 days. I think I am 5 weeks and 1 day now and not 5 weeks and 6 days.
I am trying to stay positive.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 78 ✭✭chuckster

Oh no Puddle Duck I am so sorry to hear that. You must have got some fright. I don't have any experience in order to offer you any advice but I have my fingers crossed that everything turn out ok for you.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 303 ✭✭BriarPatch

Fingers crossed for you Puddle Duck, Over the past few days I've been reading loads of stuff online and plenty of people seem to experience a small amount of blood loss at some point and go on to have a normal pregnancy so don't worry just yet, just try and relax and not get stressed about it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3 petite lapin

Hullo lovely Nov ladies! delighted to have somewhere to chat.. very early days for me. Due round 15th. Going to GP on Tue for confirmation.. have gone thru 3 packs of tesco tests to be sure line is getting darker!! Any symptoms i had last week, have eased. The weirdest being light sensitivity in the office! Wishing u all a happy Paddy's weekend!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 79 ✭✭knock13

    Hi ladies
Been away at a wedding past few days so only catching up on this now. Puddle duck I am sorry to hear that stressful situation for you, my heart goes out to you as it's such a worrying time. Have you had any update? Like was said I do think its normal enough to have some spotting throughout pregnancy so fingers and everything crossed that all is ok for you and baby.

How is everyone feeling? I can't stop eating and already am finding it my belly is protruding! Don't know how I will hide for another 6weeks! Was at wedding the other day with all my friends and it was difficult to hide the fact I wasn't drinking as normally I would be fairly well into the wine at the table! I think there was 1or2 who may have been suss! Oh well least of my worries

    Happy paddys weekend ladies

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 72 ✭✭puddle duck

Welcome and Congrats Petite Lapin. I did six tests at home:)
Knock, i squeezed myself into skinny jeans yesterday and could not wait to get home to one my pajamas :P I am trying to stay positive until I have the scan on Thursday - fingers and toes crossed. Symptoms today - just some twinges in my tummy.
So happy to be off work on Monday - a weekend of relaxing. Have a lovely weekend everyone :D

hey petite lapin, yep just about hanging in there. Just want to know now! Like you I have no symptoms at the moment. It is like the days I am at work I don't feel a thing as I am so consumed by work (things a pretty mental there at the moment). will post tomorrow at some stage and let you know how I got on.

Hi all, I am pregnant and due on the 11th of November approx, very excited, this is my first pregnancy, apart from sore boobs and tiredness I'm fine. Have got the odd cramps but nothing major, it's early days so just hoping everything will be ok

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 72 ✭✭puddle duck

congrats Courtney. So I can breath again - my scan was perfect. everything is all good. oh the relief. :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3 petite lapin

Great news puddle duck! Congrats Courtney! Feelin a bit icky today myself- delighted!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 303 ✭✭BriarPatch

    That's fantastic Puddle Duck!
    How did your scan look?
I went in the other day to have them check out my leg cramp and they did one for me, it just looked like a black circle, looking forward to the booking appointment scan now!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 166,026 ✭✭✭✭LegacyUser

This is my first post ever on the boards. Am due round the end of November . It's lovely to have a group on boards for due Nov. Feeling slight cramps and very tired and also bladder is constantly bursting.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 79 ✭✭knock13

Congrats Courtney and great news Puddleduck delighted all is well for you. the relief!

Think I need to book in for a scan soon to put my mind at ease, rang a place today and they told me to wait another week or 2 to ensure can see something. Im just over 7weeks now i reckon. Just want to make it real! Feeling fine other than everything feeling tighter already and tired and hungry a lot!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4 Courtney1234

That's great puddle duck you must be thrilled!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 72 ✭✭puddle duck

Thanks everyone. First night in a week that I feel like I have had a good nights sleep. What I could see in the scan was a little bundle of cells and you could a little flutter and that was the heart. You can't hear it but you can see it. It's amazing how much these little cells will change in the next 6 weeks. Looking forward to the 12 week scan. It's the day after we come back from
    Holidays.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 78 ✭✭chuckster

Aw phew Puddleduck.. thank God for that! it's hard not to be worried about everything never mind the scare you got. glad it all turned out ok!!

Did they give you any other info in the scan, like can they tell your actual due date already or would that only be in the later scans? Still 5 weeks to wait for mine... seems like forever! I'm dying to see a proper little shape of a baby in the scan. Literally counting down the days!!

And congrats to ChoccyMuncher and Courtney1234!! How are you girls feeling?

Is anyone getting anymore symptoms? I am like a savage up until lunchtime...I could literally eat all morning... then no appetite in the late afternoon/evening or am getting sick. and feel so bloated already, i much prefer my pj's already haha!

Have any of you told many people yet? I'm finding it a bit hard to come up with believeable excuses in work and home coz I'm normally the one instigating everything (and I'm working in Oz and the boss puts on drinks and food every Friday which normally turns into a mad one and it's only the last few weeks I've been missing them...) . Just hope everything goes ok and then can tell everyone my happy news!

hello everyone, just dropping in to say a quick hello. My wife is due Nov 14th. We have a 3 year old daughter but just as excited this time around. Wishing everyone all the best between now and Nov (and beyond of course ;))

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 303 ✭✭BriarPatch

Chuckster- I think they will be able to tell your actual due date at the 12week scan, when I had mine the other day the doctor just mentioned that he thought I wasn't as far gone as the 5 weeks 5 days that I should be according to last period ( I was already thinking myself that my estimated date of 13th should be later).
Anyway I'm sticking with my date for now until told otherwise!

I'm like you feeling fine in the morning, but nausea comes on in the afternoon/evening and I couldn't even face making a dinner or eating really, even gone off my cup of tea and that would usually be the first thing I had when I got in the door.

We've not told anyone yet, some days I'd love to tell some people then other days I feel very scared because its still very early days and I don't want to 'jinx' it:p

    Hi everyone,

Feeling a bit sick today and omg the tiredness just sweeps over, you doesn't it!
Got my first appointment today for the coombe on the 22nd of April , that feels a lifetime away! I tried to out tan on today for the first time since been pregnant and I broke out in a rash, I looked it up and it's possible during pregnancy that you can become allergic to tan!!

    How is everybody getting on?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 72 ✭✭puddle duck

Hi all. Congrats phatAlbert and your wife. Courtney i was looking up fake tan a few days ago as I have a wedding the end of May and some people say i am very pale at the moment (those people don't know i am pregnant). But anyway a lot of people recommend to wait till after the first trimester.
wow BriarPatch, i am impressed you have told nobody - i have no will power. I have told a couple of very good friends and immediate family.
feeling nausea yesterday and this morning. that feeling of you have been reading in the car for a while and then you don't feel too good. i am in bed most nights for 9:30 - but then i wake at 4am for a while and might sleep again for another hour!! I think my body is preparing me for the restless nights:)
My hubby was watching the Ireland match last night and i was looking at the mama & papa's website - so many pretty things - wow you really could spend a fortune. i know its way too early to look at things like that - but i was just taking a peep:)
    have a lovely weekend everyone.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 79 ✭✭knock13

Congrats choccy and phatalbert. I made appointment for a private scan in 2 weeks time and can't wait for it. Haven't told anyone yet, bit scared to until I get the scan to confirm its really happening. Dying to tell people, had 2 weddings had to hide fact not drinking, wasn't easy!
Still eating like a pig, feel hungry all the time and in the evenings really bloated.
Today I started getting pains in my pelvic area, nothing too sore felt bit uncomfortable when I was going for a walk. Felt bit odd to be getting pains down there this early!

Hi. Just found put I was pregnant during the week and using online due date calculators I'm due the end of November. We're very excited as this is our 1st and we'd only been trying since February. As regards an early scan at what point can they tell you are pregnant?

No MS here, just a small bit of nausea sometimes and feeling tired a lot of the time. Will be 8 weeks on wednesday - its crazy to think 2 months gone already.
Kvicka, thanks for stopping by and leaving such a lovely message:)

    Hi all,
Just had my confirmation visit with gp today. I'm 5 weeks 4days :-)
I've got a scan in 2weeks as I previously had an ectopic so they want to check all is as it should be. I'm incredibly nervous about it and dreading it tbh! Hopefully everything goes well this time!
My boobs are so sensitive when I don't wear a bra. Had a bit if nausea a few nights ago but none since.
How are all the other November mammies to be? Any symptoms yet?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2 JaeLynn

I just found out I am pregnant with our third after 6 1/2 years of TTC. I am due sometime in November, but won't know my exact due date until I have had a dating sonogram. My cycles are very irregular and I have PCOS, so I can't trust my due date to measuring by the last period. Very excited and it still feels like a dream to me.

I hear you on the sensitive boobs!! Mine are so sore and heavy, I end up wearing a bra to bed most nights lately!! Had a ton of random cravings over the last few days and some minor nausea and indigestion. Oh yes, and the fatigue! I get so tired sometimes that I just can't keep going and have to lay down for a little rest. All worth it though...so worth it! I was just about to give up when those two beautiful red lines finally appeared...on April Fools day. What a weird day to find out! Took all day to convince hubby I was serious!

    Hi all,

ive been lurking here for the last 2 weeks or so. its like im terrified to say it in case somethin goes wrong but i know what will be wil be so here goes. IM 7 WEEKS :D. we are very excited.

we have a 15 month old girl who is great.

ive been nauseous now for about a week and its not good! its pretty much all day everyday. very hard to hide it. but i know its a good sign so i try to think of that. also very tired. hard to play with my little one but shes very good at entertaining herself and bringing me toys etc.;)

i read here some of ye are going on hols. just wondering where ye are going or how many weeks along will ye be. We have planned a trip to new york to visit my brother and i will be 14 weeks. doc said should be grand just wear flight socks and walk around and drink plenty before during and after the flight. im still nervous tho but also looking forward to the break (not sure how much of a break it will be with a 15month old:rolleyes:)

sorry for the long post but just had to get everything out! little one is asleep so i have the laptop to myself:p have to head to work shortly so need to prepare some bits to try keep the nausea at bay. any tips pass them on! nothing really helped the last time.

congrats to all the november expectant mums. i look forward to sharing the ups and downs of our pregnancies ;)

Hi all, six weeks pregnant with my third. due around the end of november, have a scan booked in six weeks to make sure all is well before I tell the kids and everyone else :) fairly tired with sore chest but no sickness, I never got sickness with my other two so hopefully I wont this time either.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 303 ✭✭BriarPatch

Welcome and Congrats to all our new joiners! We're become quite a group now!

@Red Fraggle - We are also off to USA (West Coast) when I am 13.5 weeks, have also got the flight socks but am worrying a bit about it, but it was all booked and paid for months before we found out!!

Have no tips for the nausea myself but would love some that work, hoping it passes after 12 weeks so I'm counting down the time which is going so slowly:rolleyes: Did you find yours passed after a few weeks the first time?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 72 ✭✭puddle duck

welcome and congrats to the newbies:)

@Red Fraggle I am off to NY when i will be 11 weeks - I have booked a private scan for the week before I go and i then have my 12 week scan the day after i come back. we are heading off for 5 days. once i have flight socks, walk about a bit and drink lots of water during the flight things should be ok.

i am 8 weeks + 4 days today and no morning sickness - so i cant comment on cures for it. sometimes i get nauseous and i have a hard boiled sweet and that helps at times.

    Hey all
Welcome all the new Nov ladies. I had a private scan at the weekend to see everything was ok as just couldn't wait til the one in the hospital. I was calculating I was 9 weeks and due 8th nov so got bit of shock when got the scan and the lady told me I am more like 13 weeks and due 10th oct!! A whole month ahead of where I thought I was! We were both bit stunned but really happy as can now tell everyone.

Did feel a bit stupid that i got things so wrong! Figured out I had been counting a bleed at start of feb as my period but it was probably just spotting which I'm glad I didn't know at the time as that would have scared me! Doesn't explain why my pregnancy test that I did showed that I was 3+ weeks so was that what had me convinced I had my dates right but maybe they don't give precise week! Anyone know? Still find it hard to believe and freaked myself out that I'm just having a massive baby! The things that go through your head!
So I'm very glad I went for the scan as I would have been planning everything incorrectly until I went for hospital scan! Got to see the baby moving its legs and breathing so it was unexpected and so great!
Feeling fine just tired, hope you are all doing good this week

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 72 ✭✭puddle duck

Knock13 that's great news. A shock I am sure, but you are just a bit closer to meeting your little bundle of joy. You will be leaving us and joining the October thread? I pop by there sometimes - just to see what's ahead of me :) so I will keep an eye out for you.
I have a scan Saturday week and can't wait. I worry now because I have had no MS. I am never happy :) just so tired everyday and sore breasts at night.
Anybody else have no morning sickness?

i know how ya feel. ive no sore boobs and everyone else does. now the last 3 days the morning sickness (nausea)is not as bad and im convincing myself theres something wrong!! i also have a head cold. cant breath with it and the sneezes are awful. so intense i think im doing damage!!! so silly i know but this is me now for the next few months (hopefully all going well). i think the blocked nose is somehow easing the ms as i cant smell things very well. who knows. trying to hold off for a private scan til week 12 but we will see:rolleyes::o

but i know a few people who never had ms and everything was fine! think its just different bodies dealing with it different ways!

cant remember previous posters name but congrats on being 13 weeks! ya must be so delighted. great news :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,601 ✭✭✭kandr10

Wow that's brilliant! Good to have skipped a few weeks. It must have been some shock though! Congrats on everything going well :-)

Sore boobs are the worst at min. I know it's stupid but don't want to invest in a maternity bra until I know everything's ok. Might just switch to sports bra!
I've been saying to my husband oh I don't have morning sickness I'm just unsettled in the morning and cant stand the thought of most foods..he reckons its ms..I've found eating a cracker first thing helps and then by lunch I'm starving again!

I don't think it means anything to not have a particular symptom though - just have to roll with what's thrown at us :-)
