Its bucketing down here thunder that went on ages at a time lightening lighting up everywhere.Reports that on bolt hill a hill in a estate next me.I didn't see it

There's a fairly clear sky over Cork now, but the wind appears to be picking up again. It had died down after the thunder disappeared.

I wonder are we in for a series of these violent thunder storms?

Or is that it for tonight ?

Extreme gusts and high sustained winds in South Kerry.
41.8 km/h showing on my weather station currently.
Thunder and lightning lasting 10 minutes occurred at 10.15pm approx.

Will probably be into Dublin about 0130-0200. Will issue severe thunderstorm watch as squall line racing with no sign of let up. Gusts to 120 km/hr and intense lightning possible with this (Dublin region incl Meath-Kildare).
