    is all i get

Me too. To fix it log out of the app store from the main page:
    Quick Links/Account
Log out of your OS X account and log back it.

Also don't forget to verify your disk and permissions in Disk Utility before taking the plunge.

Apple have acknowledged problems with the up to date program, they say a fix will be coming this afternoon.

Just wondering where we live we have extremely slow internet would never be capable of downloading 4gb. Can you buy mountain lion on a disc so it doesn't have to be downloaded through the internet.

I downloaded Lion at full speed within an hour of its release. In work this time round, so it'll have to wait until I get home.

Nope the only way to get it is through The Mac App Store they wont be selling discs or USB's. But the Apple stores are letting people drop in and download it there, maybe some of the Irish resellers will do the same thing?

There was a way to extract the Lion image from the downloaded installer. Perhaps there will be a similar route this time around.

OFC there is always a public library, friends house or Internet cafe...

    Select “Show Package Contents.”

Open the “Contents” folder and then “SharedSupport” folder.

    The installer image is “InstallESD.dmg”

Well I'm all installed and Spotlight has done its thing.
Firstly, any idea on how to hide the ugly notification center icon?
The gesture is fine, the icon has to go.

On initial usage, it seems to have fixed my jumping mouse issue which has been an annoyance since Lion. Possibly too early to tell.

Just installed it now. No problems to report. Yet. Like the notification centre and the separate Notes app. I take it being able to iMessage from the Mac to a phone until the IOS 6 update.

Can you configure iMessage so your sender ID is a mobile number rather than apple ID?

Yeah i guess, but it's a killer having to pay for it, if AirParrot will work...why couldn't they just enable it for pre 2011 iMacs...I know they wanna push selling newer machines and all, but still...

I've heard it's apparently a GPU issue. Older machines don't push pixels fast enough for good performance. Sounds a bit lame TBH.

It was one of the "key features" that was being pushed in the promo videos from ML, so i'm a bit deflated that it's not being included right away.

I really don't want FB integration. I was surprised by its inclusion TBH.

iMessage works between Macs, iPhones and iPods already.

Can iMessage send texts to non Apple phones?

How does the Notification Centre compare to Growl?

Is the notes app better/any different to Simplenote?

Facebook integration can ask my bolix (just saying).

At 15.99 I probably will upgrade but I might wait a few days to see what the teething problems are like. I'm also unsure about to just upgrade or pip for the fresh install.
