Too many spoilers in the other thread.

Show seemed ok last night and I thankfully managed to keep pace...I think..

Your views on the first episode ?

I thought it was very good, looks worth following.

About the death of her fiance. Do you think they will use it for a mid season break or is it going to be dragged out for the season finale?

Looks promising so far, Madeleine Stowe is wonderful to watch, great scene stealer.

I liked the first episode and will tune in again next week to see how it goes.

Hope they don't start switching the order of episodes like they sometimes to.

Just watched the pilot on RTE player. It looks like it might be a good series.

No I don't want a spoiler. I was just asking people's views who were watching it on RTE. Thanks for hiding it though. Too often i'm told about these things.

And the following two weeks. They must want to catch up with E4 Pace.

I'm watching on E4 - I'll be switching to RTE if they pass out.

22 episodes in total in the first season.

It's returning for a second season as well.

The theme of the song in the first episode is For you by Angus and Julia stone. deadly song, I know no one asked but just in case.

Can anyone help me - need to watch episode 1 - missed it on RTE Player. I tried using Google but keep being asked to download some dodgy software - not a good idea.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,212 ✭✭✭Naid23

I quite like it, Am not really one for getting stuck into tv series.
plot is very cleaver, not your typical revenge storyline.

So as next Tuesday's second episode is the episode that was on E4 this week, I'll probably start watching there. Is it going to be double episode every week?

I'm enjoying it. Emily really is an evil b*tch. But in a good way. :)

I'm loving revenge, its brilliant.. Emily is sooo eerily dangerous :)

    +1

There are double episodes for the next four weeks anyway.

RTE episodes are only 55 minutes long. Too many ads on E4.

absolutly loving this.. normally i wouldnt be in to these kind of series but this is brilliant! are E4 at the same episode as RTE and what day is it on E4? :)

It's on Mondays at 9.00pm on E4 ...(repeated 3 times later in the week)

Next Monday E4 shows episode 7
    Next Tuesday RTE2 shows episodes 6 & 7

So the following week RTE2 will pass out E4

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,550 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Figured would post here, but did anyone else who watched/recorded Monday's episode on E4 have the Audio Description on with no way of turning it off?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 233 ✭✭Flashgordon197

I have enjoyed this series a lot but a lot of the characters are a bit cardboard/stereotyped ie-Victoriia's son. I would also be critical of the knock one character off her revenge list an episode .Its a bit too neat.
The Psychiatrist was bought off a bit too easily -would such a person so easily separate a father and daughter? Why did Victoria insist on it anyway?

That stops after about episode six in favour of a more overall story arc.

    Absolutely love this show.
I'd have it watched in a day online if I didn't have limited broadband :( So have to stick to following E4/RTE.
But with regards what happened on E4 today,
Nolan is some little scut. I wonder is he now going to use the video he took of him and tyler as blackmail or?
And the whole thing with Frank. I really wonder how Emily will handle "amanda clarke" coming back onto the scene.. It seems like everyone's coming onto her.
Tonights episode had way too much for me to handle :P

RTE should be caught up by tomorrow night with the double episode.

saw a bit of madeline stowe in a movie with kevin costner from 1990 last nite which was also called revenge , she was a stunner then and is every bit as fine today , surprised her career never went further

Also really enjoying the show. Glad RTE are showing the double episodes. Has got me interested in the show anyway ! Glad it got picked up for a second season in the States, shows there must be an interest in it.

To be fair I think that fits in very well with the type of character she is portraying.

She was big in the 90's. I remember her making People's most beautiful people and winning awards for the Last Mohican. She took a break from the business just as her career was really blowing up to raise her kids.

Hahahahahahahaha, this show is so daft it's brilliant. Emily is probably the worst seeker of revenge in history. If it wasn't for Nolan she'd have been found out long ago. She wants a new identity, so rather than just get fake documents and stuff, she swaps hers with an emotionally unstable cellmate. She needs help from her "mentor" and next thing some Master Splinter-type Japanese dude turns up to give her a lecture on vipers and their domestic arrangements (I'm guessing everyone here had the exact same reaction as me, and just knew she'd end up knowing Japanese). I have expected a flashback to show her plucking her sensei's eye out with a chop stick half way up some holy mountain in Japan. Absolutely daft as a brush show, but brilliant for it! :D

Its kinda daft in a lot of places, but some of it is pretty clever too. I usually don't hold any interest in hyped up US tv...but this is very very good. Killing me at times not to just watch rest of series online! But gonna hold off

Getting confuisng reading the program descriptions. When it refers to both Emily and Amanda, have to try and figure out which they're referring to.

Oh and for anyone who has this set up on series link on Sky Plus for RTE 2, check to see if it's set for the next episode. For some reason it's showing up in the listings with the episode name "Loyalty" rather than Revenge. I checked mine and it was set to record the second episode, which is correctly titled, but not the first.

Also, with regard Ashley, Victoria said she hired her because she was close to Emily, but she was hired before Victoria met Emily. And what did Ashley mean Victoria was having less parties? She has even more parties/events than the ones in Vampire Diaries!

And, as my brother asked, how is Sammy still alive and looking so healthy considering he's about 18 years old? Wonder how he'll react to meeting the Fauxmanda.

We must be nearing the events at the beginning by now

I thought tonights episode was supposed to be a double but doesn't seem to be.

As far as I can tell it still is, just the first episode is showing up as "Loyalty" (the name of the episode) on the Sky listings instead of Revenge.

I thought tonights episode was supposed to be a double but doesn't seem to be.

It seems to be 2 episodes wherever I look

    http://www.rte.ie/tv/listings_rtetwo.html

RTÉ Two - Tuesday 24 July

    21:00 Revenge

Tyler researches David Clarke's links with the Graysons after making an incriminating discovery, while Emily tries to stop Amanda from blowing her cover

    21:50 Revenge

Daniel's birthday party takes a frightening twist as the atmosphere at the Grayson manor grows increasingly toxic, while Emily and Nolan struggle to deal with an unstable Tyler

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,787 ✭✭✭brian_t

For the next two weeks Revenge will be shown once a week at the later time of 10.30pm due to Olympic coverage.
After that it reverts to the usual double episode at 9.00pm

Yeah I was just going thru the Sky listings and it was showing "Loyalty" @ 9pm.

Bet this will mess up a lot of people who set it on series planner, it'll hardly recognise Loyalty!!

Great show so far tho, keeps it interesting and at a fast enough pace.
