    So ladies.... Here I am!!!!!

Still hasn't really sunk in, after a two year battle I finally got the positive!!! To be honest I found out the day before I was due back to the specialist to commence on fertility injections!!!!

I think I am 6 weeks and 1 day but I have a feeling I ovulated late so maybe that will push my dates back a bit??

I was seeing consultant privately so he is gonna scan me in a couple of weeks and then I will be going public at the hospital. Will I still need to see my gp or will my private consultant give me a letter? I will be going to the rotunda purely because that's where all my appts have been.

    Congratulations to every one!!!

I haven't had any nausea but boobs are tender, I'm tired and drinking sooooo much!!! Getting a bit worried about it all and keep thinking the worse :-( just hope this scan comes around quickly and all goes well so then maybe I can relax. How is everyone else feeling??

Will I see much on a 7-8 week scan? Think he wants to do a transvaginal scan!

Hey finally back.. so im 8 weeks 1 day :) hasnt sunk in yet at all.. Glad to see a few more recruits to the thread :):):) hows everyone feeling? I feel perfect - maybe a little tired but other than that im fine.. Im sending my GP letter to the hospital this week and see when i can get booked in... Feels strange considering this time last year I was about 20 weeks gone...

Im feeling good some days and others I'm having waves of nausea,im praying it won't get much worse than this-wishful thinking :) only over a week now until my holidays,im still so nervous incase something goes wrong out there but sort of reassured since I had the scan! Im thinking of booking one privately for around 14 weeks as my next one won't be until 20 weeks-seems so far away!

Hi all.. Was just wondering if it's only me.. But apart from my boobs being bigger.. The waist in my trousers is also a bit tighter.. I know it may be a bit too early but I do notice it and was wondering if I'm just putting on weight and it's nothing to do with the pregnancy? Anybody else out there the same?? I think I'm about 8 weeks.. Having my dating scan on Wednesday.. How exciting!! :D

and what are we going to do? i think it's ridiculously early to wear maternity clothes.. was checking around and in the US they have this BeBand, which is basically a elastic belly band that holds unbuttoned pants in place.. i sit at work most of the day and the tight waist is killing me.. guess other choice is getting a few loose waist dresses or something? :(

I'm so not prepared for this..

my pants are getting tight already for work i'm finding it so hard in work already i work in a very busy cafe morning sickness is unreal i wanna pass out but i'm not sick just feel it :(

  • Registered Users Posts: 210 ✭✭amira

have to admit i'm lucky in that sense.. haven't got sick at all.. a bit of nausea now and then.. but not much.. except for a week that i couldn't eat at all..

Found that band that i was talking about, they have it in Mamas & Papas, and also in Mother care.. it holds your pants in place when unbuttoned and also covers the belly when we get a big one and your tops don't cover all the way down.. :)

Found out at 5w 1d and now 7w 3d. I had a m/c at 18 weeks in January so January should be a nice time now and I won't dread it! Very excited now..

Hi ladies. Well this thread is very quiet - only 43 posts since it started a month ago! Let's get nattering.......

I have a scan on Friday and it feels like a lifetime away. I will be 7+4 and I'm hoping for good news. I haven't had many symptoms apart from sore boobs, and wretching when brushing my teeth - and of course I'm exhausted all the time, but that's normal for me anyway! :o
Then today I've been feeling a bit dodgy with nausea, which I'm delighted about because it's usually a good sign that positive things are happening!
I have told a few people - my sister and a few close friends who knew what we had been through over the past number of years. And god forbid, but if the worst happens I would tell them anyway.

How is everyone else feeling? Anyone had a scan yet? :)

    Hi all,
Wel I am feeling properly down in the dumps today. Wanted to do so much & all I did all day was flake with my two lil lads and watch telly. Last two evenings I have gone for a 3 mile walk on the beach & think I'm gona do the same in an hour or so. I have never been mad into fitness or that even with my last two pregnancies but something feels different this time like my body is telling me I need to. Himself had a few drinks last night before dinner & normally I would have had one or two as well but I took a sip of his pint & I just wanted to vomit. All the things I used to love I am hating at the minute. A Chinese for example I could of eaten 3 nights in a week & now I can't even think of one. What is everyone else doing exercise wise?? Now I am no size 8/10 so I don't want you'd all thinking I'm some fitness freak but I just have an urge to get healthy & if I loose a few pounds in the process well thats fine by me :-)

Best of luck to you. Are you still confused about positive/negative tests - or do you know for sure that you are pregnant? It must be so head wrecking for you!

I am like a jumping jack at the moment - totally on edge until tomorrow afternoon when I have my scan. I'll come on here and update you all afterwards.

Hi laies, mind if I join? I'm due January 1st, or maybe Dec 31st! By my dates it's Jan 1st but had a scan at 8w and it gave a date of Dec31! In my head though I'm due in January!

I hope everyone is keeping well! I've had nausea but no vomiting, cramps off and on and back pain!

Anyone else going to CUMH? I have my first appointment at 14w, can't wait. While I saw and heard the hb at 8w it seems like ages ago and am looking forward to getting out of the first trimester!

Well hi everyone. We saw our little bubba and he/she is doing great! Heartbeat is very rapid and strong and my hormone levels are great and measuring good for dates too. Im measuring 7+2 and my dates say 7+4. Doc would like to see a bit more fluid in the sac so we remain a little cautious and back for another scan in 2 weeks, which of course we're delighted about!! He is 90% positive for us at this stage. Such a relief! We're just so happy and delighted and keeping everything crossed for two weeks time! :)

Hi ladies, im 11+1 (due date 01-01-13), so i just about make the due Jan thread :D. Had the scan there this day last week and my dates are spot on. Next scan is at 21weeks in August. The grandparents know so we have decided to wait until about 13/14weeks before telling others. Hope ye all are keeping well. :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 758 ✭✭✭bubbaloo

Hi Princessa and welcome - congrats on your pregnancy. This thread is fairly quiet - as you can see the last post was mine from last Friday! But if all else fails, you and I can keep each other company! :)

I'm almost 3 weeks behind you - I'm 8+2 today. I have told a handful of friends and my sister but only because we have had many years of heartache leading to this point and they all know our story. They are the people I would talk to if the worst happened anyway. We have had one scan (last Fri) and we have a scan booked for Fri 22/6 and the first appointment with the obstetrician on 18th July. I will be 13 weeks then so if all goes to plan at that appointment, we will ring RTE and get it on the 6 o'clock news!! :D

Generally speaking I don't have many symptoms - just tiredness and my boobs are a bit tender. The main symptom I have is wretching every time I brush my teeth. But I must admit today is a fairly miserable day for me. I have a thumping headache, feel quite nauseous and just want to get home to my bed! How are you feeling?

  • Registered Users Posts: 301 ✭✭Nicky987

So.... I had a early scan yesterday and all I could see was this tiny bean but with a very strong flickering heart beat :-) I can finally start to believe it all now and maybe stop peeing on sticks!!! My dates should put me at 8+1 today but he reckons I'm 7+1. Couldn't get a good angle to measure but he thinks about seven.... Very frustrating as now have to re live week seven again!! I'm back on the 17th July for booking appt and proper dating. Can't believ this is all happening. I to am so tired and have soar boobs with the occasional wave of nausea.

Bubbaloo so sorry your feeling miserable today- hope you get home soon and all wrapped up in bed with some comforts!!

Hi everyone and congrats and all the lovely news.
I'm due in Jan with my first.
I have my first hospital appointment next week and I'm wondering what to expect. What kind of tests do they do etc.. I know I am getting a scan but that's all.

    Totally clueless!

    Thanks

I have been so sick for about 2 weeks now. No energy to move from the couch or bed. Sleeping until 1 or 2 pm and then nauseous until I go to bed. I have the arm bands and have tried ginger but I can't stomach it. Had to be sent home from work..

On the upside - CANNOT wait for scan. Hopefully not too much longer!

Thanks Nicky. Very frustrating when they put your dates back but thank god all is well and you can relax a little. Lollipop, that nausea sounds awful! I think I'd actually prefer to be sick all day instead of nausea. Hope it settles soon for you. Good to chat to you ladies. I'm waiting patiently for hubby to get home from work to take on daddy duty to our 3 year old, so I can hit the pillow for the night! Zzzzzzz.........
