Just had the most frustrating night in a long time. Possibly ever to be honest. Don't think I'm gonna play MW3 for a while.

Considering buying Bops again on the cheap. No interest in MW3 at all anymore. Even Mw2 is more fun to play.

Yeah, there definately is. I switched to the LS118? (the bolt action one) recently and you run a lot faster.

Started playing blops again recently.. Beastly fun!! MUch better imo

UMP, MP7, PP90 and P90 are all vastly superior than the MP5 pellet gun.
I got the MP5 up to level 20 something so have put in time with it, but even with kick it still kicks like a government mule.

UMP/MP7/PP90/P90 are all very very similar overall. Its pretty much down to which one you like using the most as the differences are minimal.

I only just started using the mp7 there today.. My god for a sub its pretty powerful! Even at long range its very lethal!! Even with the silencer its beastly..

I usually use the P90 in my sub class coz it seems kinda middle ground... Great in tight corners but not too strong long distance.. But ever since sticking on the mp7, I realised that everyone seems to be using it, was playing a bita SnD n almost everyone on my team had it equipped! Is it that overpowered? I aint seen a Type 95 in yonks!

There is something a tad off about the UMP in this game I feel compared to MW2. Perhaps it's just that I find the other 3 SMG's a smidgen better? Probably is that.

I think overall, the MP7 is the best. It's basically an SMG ACR. Funny, because in BF3 it's dirt. Arguably the only gun I struggle with due to clip size being tiny! Very different gun in both games.

PP90 I've never really liked tbh but seemed to be killed by it more than any other SMG!

P90 I rarely used in MW3 for whatever reason, don't think I unlocked the silencer even for it! Clip size is the bonus with this SMG though, always has been.

MP5 (and G36C) as I eluded to, well just depresses me. We're bringing back the CoD4 MP5 me hole. It has nowt on the CoD4 version.

I do agree, it's all about personal choice though. Just my outlook on those guns anywhoo.

If you're on about the UMP, I'd agree somewhat. For whatever reason, again compared to the MW2 version in which a silencer was very much needed, and anything else was all over the place recoil wise. In MW3, I could use a red dot sight and get on grand with it. Silenced UMP seems much weaker than before. Lack of stopping power also is a factor I guess.

MP7 is the only gun I've got gold so far. TBH I tend to get bored using the same guns and switch around quite often. So far

Prefer the MP7 over the others & think it's probably the best all rounder

the only assault rifle that I have gotten gold is the FAD..

Dunno why, I just like it! Started using the ACR now recently aswel and it feels far more powerful..

I can absolutely rape with the mp5 and rapid fire. First gun I got gold and it's on my tryhard class

I quite like the MP5, you'll spray a bit more with it due to its recoil (and you won't be sniping cross map a la the MP7) but I rarely lose one on ones with it, puts a fair whack of lead downwind quickly. Just after hitting 9th prestige so will be using it again up to 500 kills, might try it with stability and silencer once I've it leveled up.

I thought the ump was class first time I used it compared to the mp5 which just sprayed everywhere, but looking at it's stats it falls down really badly at long range (damage is reduced by nearly 66%!) and at short range where it's slow rate of fire impedes it. I watched a stream of a guy using the mp5 (admittedly on the pc) and it really benefits from steady aim pro (which impairs you in some ways) he just ran around Dome hip-firing with rapid fire and was destroying the opposition, rarely bothering to using the sights.

The slightly higher extra damage of the ump over other smgs isn't enough to give it a 2 hit kill (providing no headshots) so normally you require 3 bullets to kill. As such you're losing out to faster firing smgs up close such as the pp90 or pm9 or more accurate long range ones such as the mp7 which also has a lot less recoil than the ump. It's not got one attribute (apart from reload time) where its clearly superior to the other smgs, having a faster reload time is only useful if you're expending your ammo and not losing out to other guns.

Nah it's not uzi bad or anything like that, but I think many like myself are just underwhelmed with it. I was hoping for CoD4 MP5 except maybe with a slightly different (upgraded) look if anything, that's what I thought they (IW) were going to do based on comments pre-release.

I dont see why people always say if ya want gun on gun gameplay play cod4, sure stick in black ops put it on last night and had serious enjoyment, nearly felt like bf3 the size of the maps compared to mw3. Played hurrendously mind you but sure once your enjoying the game who cares

Particularly for consoles, cause you can do barebones(You still can right?) on blops which is just pure gun on gun, really fun ! CoD4 is constant airsupport (not as bad as MW2/3 but i'd put it on par with normal BLOPS because of the whole stacking ****e) and huge amount of grenades..

ION - Its a pity you can't delete certain maps in a cod game, or unselect them when you search. Or pick what map you want to play on like battlefield. Most of the maps are depressing to look at.

I like the way everyones coming back to it now. The only reason I've been playing mw3 at all is for clips for daves montage. Blops is just more fun hands down
