I don't have any hellios calfs but I have an excel Calf the same way she will always come over and start licking my trouser when in herding. She is a definite keeper to she has a great back end on her and mammy has milk.

Have you many Excel calves on the ground? What do you think of them?

Lovely calf, she’ll make a powerful heifer.

Can you try putting up the other one again?

File size might be too big. Open with MS paint and save again as JPEG format. That reduces size.

Very nice, were they big calves at birth?

  • Registered Users Posts: 338 ✭✭dodo mommy

No calfed unassisted, picture of second calf doesn't do her justice at all.

Never used him before but seen AJY is the Dam's sire. He's by Empire so good breeding in her.
There's sim breeding behind both cows I've put him on so might bring the roan too. Both bred good blues before& are 3rd calvers this year, thought him worth a shot!

Thanks. Mine all have lm and sim breeding in them as well so also hoping that red factor will bring the roan colour that is selling well. Most of them are lm2014, eby and curaheen gunshot.

EBY should bring the roan anyway if it's in the bull!

My two are KJB out of a cow who is Sim/Bova Pontium (great old bull!) and our only white cow, who's out of a Navarin cow going back to sim/sh.
    Time will tell I guess.

I used the Elite Ice Cream on a heifer. Not sure how wise that was but too late now to regret it :pac:

    No pull no prize!

Ah she's got a great line of calving behind her, hope she takes after them. Will have her & the BB heifer on their own for at least 6 weeks before calving on a diet. I'll worry about her when I have to :)
