I'd say the fact that it's set in clear, rather pleasant sunshine is an even more obvious indicator than the dodgy water :pac:

Anyone know what it's like down around the quays in the city centre? Much chance of me driving in there for 6:30am tomorrow from Tallaght or...?

Walked along north quays at 8 (without a feckin umbrella) and didn't see any flooding

There is nothing better than sitting in a pub with a real fire blazing, and looking out at the rain.

A lad might even go as far as to say it's a day for the high stool.

First they came for the socialists...

Just walked home from work in Talla back to Rathcoole bit of an auld adventure ha.

Pretty much the whole road/luas line at Saggart is flooded i had to walk sideways across one of the wooden fences otherwise id be up to me balls in brown water :P

Some random fella was standing on the fence in front of me as i came up to him he kinda shuffled and said oh fire away head by me there if u can lol ehhhh ok.

There is a big wall in front of apartments in Saggart that was mostly leveled as well how i dont know but looked like some fecking mess as i walked by it.

Amazing what a day or twos rain can do!!

By the sounds of it from listening to people coming into me in work Tallaght got battered out of it altogether.

Dunno if it was ****e talk but the roof was meant to of fell in on the bookies beside the pub in Jobstown.

I still have to show up for work in the morning so all my hope is gone of it being closed, bar ground floor.

Well i'd imagine staff may still have to turn up,to help with the clean up.but even if everything above the ground floor is ok,they're hardly going to be allowing customers in.

Dundrum is not going to reopen anytime soon, with what I have seen and read here that is major flooding, that will have to be checked for structural and electrical safety. I am only speculating, but it will need a bit more then a mop and bucket.

I hope I am wrong it employs a lot of people.

Can they make us clean it up? Assume electricals around centre and foundations need be checked first.

    Is there a Plan B?
Ask the EU for a few buckets, then we can have another bailout! ;)
