It's a nice area, some good bars.

bit expensive though, especially when there's a game on.

Could've done with this flooding next Monday, to put out all the bonfires.

RTE reporting of a Garda being swept away in the floods :(

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,382 ✭✭✭lastlaugh

    From RTE website...

    Live Updates:
2245 A young garda has been swept away in floods near Blessington in Co Wicklow.
The Garda Helicopter, Coast Guard and several mountain rescue teams are involved in a search and rescue operation.
The garda, aged in this 20s, was off-duty when he began directing traffic away from a dangerous bridge, which was covered in water at Ballysmuttan at around 7pm this evening.

Hopefully, he's found OK, but that doesn't sound promising...

So long as we get snow this year and have adequate means to deal with it so that everyone can enjoy it I'm happy .

Hate rain it causes nothing but misery

Would it be ridiculously foolish to use the N11 to go to the city centre tomorrow?

We never have the means to deal with snow.
It's a given we will get snow at this stage I think, but very few people will have anyhting other than misery in their lives as a result of it.

    Glazers Out!

This is the first time I ever looked in on a thread or a message board like this while some real news is happening. Its mad, its like a tv station but with correspondents and their pics all over the city. A democratisation of the news, its really interesting and as I can see very useful for people as well.
