Winds have calmed down a lot in the last couple of hours here in West Limerick.

Gusts are few and far between.

Not much more than a slightly above average windy but dry morning. Pretty much as predicted by our resident experts, well done for all your updates :)

Is the peak time for winds later? Seeing conflicting reports of 0600 0900 1100 and later as peak winds.

I think it will peak in Donegal between 12.00 and 18.00, it will then die down and pick up again tomorrow for a while.
This is based on what i have seen on the met eireann forecasts

What time to be without my laptop! Been like a Cat on a hot tin roof all weekend, wondering how things were on Boards Weather ;) Missed the graphs and charts and the opinions... Sigh, its so good to be online..

From Collooney, its fairly gustly at times, misty rain is blowing about. Haven't got my weather station info active either, (due to absent laptop) :( so apologies to all.

Safe travelling to all our Wind chasers and all those out and about...

I was down there last time it happened, it's an amazing sight to watch the waves rolling and breaking as they cross the road!

Just met Iancar and WingerPl to give them a loan of my anemometer. They should have some fun on the west coast.

That is correct when you remember that they are Met Áth Cliath more than Met Éireann.

Gerry Murphy has been sent out with Jim Fahy to investigate Ireland's equilvalent to Britain's crop circle phenomena.

Spose if they get rid of the alien invasion the damn thing will break again. This happened back in august too.

Can we have our Dooncarton and Mt. Gabriel radars please, instead of this farce. :(

It was on Mid West Radio Sponge Bob, so I presumed they had got an update for the West from Met Eireann? But who knows.
