Yep very gusty now in claregalway dog wanted to go out opened door huge gust of very warm wind shot in quite weird compared to normal cold storm...

Been enjoying reading this thread for past few days, like to say thanks to all you technical people offering insight. Just drove from dublin to limerick couple of spots along the way could feel the wind wanting to move me sideways airght, mind you its fairly calm here in limerick now.

Half thinking of getting up eary and heading out to kilkee or lahinch for a lookie at the waves, reckon kilkee be imprssive seeing them crashing against the cliffs.

It's 17 * C here now at 2:21am in co. dublin with a very slight breeze and very mild. I feel like i'm back in spain again. looks like a little bit of wind for dublin tomorrow, nothing to write home about.

Met Éireann saying 110km/h gusts all day tomorrow for the midlands and east, 140km/hr in the north.

Try get down before 11am as top of tide will be around then and because of the full moon it should be massive and a sight not to be missed… someone said the waves might reach the 8 metre mark,

Well worth the trip down.

OOOOOPS Had to edit this because it will be low water around 11am... still should be good as the tide comes in,

I got the impression it was going to be a minor wind factor in the north of co. dublin. well to me it seems that way for tomorrow but we'll see.

Gusting close on 40kts here in the midlands - but very squally. Tends to die away for a few minutes then arrive back with a vengeance. Nothing out of the ordinary, the storm we had in May was worse,but this one has yet to peak.

I received a link for the Galway Harbour Company which has an automated weather station.

Peak gust of 55 kts at 0559h. Sustained 35 kts. direction SW.

temp there peaked at 17 C around 0230h.

Meanwhile, 967 mbs at UK buoy K4 west of Irish M4, wind south 30 kts so centre a few mbs lower presumably located around 55.5N 13.0W.

Note to early readers -- hurricane force gusts likely on outer west coast soon, peak 0700-0900h -- SW 50 kts gusting 80 remains the prediction.

Anecdotally it is pretty wild here at the moment - the sea is unreal being pushed in and still rising (high tide was at 6.35), with walls of airborne horizontal spray.

After a very calm start to the night the storm started to arrive around 5am

Some parts of the town have no power already

Worst of the storm is supposed to hit in the afternoon but I think it will be just after 6 this evening when the tide is high

Winds have calmed down a lot in the last couple of hours here in West Limerick.

Gusts are few and far between.

Not much more than a slightly above average windy but dry morning. Pretty much as predicted by our resident experts, well done for all your updates
