Changed a blown brake bulb, which involved dismantling half of the boot extension. Nearly as bad as a new Megane!

got really fed up looking at a really bald tyre on the front hand right side of my dads car.

Trying to attach an image of the graph. But the gains are as follows:

First run on dyno: power 121.p bhp and 189ft/lb of torque.:)

After remap: max bhp 151.2 and 251ft/lb of torque.:D

More than happy. Joe's a sound lad, and Gary in Urban was more than happy to stand around chatting!!:pac:

Is it a 1.9? Good standard figure!

Yeah, it's a 1.9. Supposedly 105bhp as standard. Was slightly surprised when I saw the results after the first run.

A fella stopped me the other day and asked who did my roof! (It's still blue) I couldn't stop laughing.

Mine was only 5 more than it was supposed to be on that dyno:(

That is a very nice increase over standard though. Will make a big difference to the car.

    Oh it already has!!!:)

If I could figure out how to put the huge smilie on, whilst using the phone, that'd be there instead!!!

Completely different car. So, so glad I did it.

Changed my brake light switch, which was damned awkward...

    Image1482.jpg
    Image1483.jpg

Then bolted my bumper back on fully after settling it, followed by a surround and plates (no crappy german style plates here :D)
    Image1484.jpg
    Image1489.jpg

    Then cleaned up my lights
    Image1490.jpg

Sorted for a little while! ;)

What sorta money did the remap cost? Much difference in fuel economy?

Ive something similar, A3, 1.9TDI 105BHP, its always interested me getting it mapped.

Can't give a fully accurate idea as o how it's effected the fuel economy, but so far there's been no negative effect.

As regards cost, I got a bit of a discount from being a member of vagdrivers. So that'd be the way I'd go.

Installed a Nokia CK-200 car kit the other day

    Before:

    After:

    After in dark:

This one does it no justice. All the dash lights are red and I've changed the colour of the screen on the car kit to match. It looks pretty cool and fits in nicely.

I love went retro fits (radios etc.) colours match that of the car.

I was thinking of making a backing plate for it and putting it in the cubby hole to the right of the hazards switch. It would make it look that little bit cooler but I use that cubby hole so don't really want to lose it :o

Herself had to get a JVC head unit that had adjustable RGB values just so it would match all the other dash lights!
I've a good head unit that follows me from banger to banger, great radio but it's bugging me to see green lights in an orange lit dash....

On topic - sorted my current banger out with a remote central locking fob at last. My first car with RCL!!!

Today I took the seats out of the 6, cleaned them with leather cleaner, applied leather cream and let them cure. Then I shampooed the carpets and mats and used my wet & dry vacuum (love that yoke), polished all the interior glass, dash and console.

It took all day and I'm wrecked but it was well worth it.

Tomorrow I'll be doing the exterior.

Today I set about a few jobs that needed doing on my new daily. I tapped out a few dents as best as I could(alot better then before anyway), gave the interior a really good clean, Cleaned and washed out the load area(its a van) and sprayed the inside to get rid of all the scratches etc.

The gave it a full service with coolant/brake fluid etc as well as wheel alignment, head light alignment etc etc...

Found a replacement center cap in the breakers for one that was missing from one of the alloys aswell.

A few more jobs on the list but they'll wait till next week.
