Rest in peace Roe, I wish we had talked more lately, I miss our chats.

Roe was one of the most caring, loving and kind people I ever knew! Although I didn't see her everyday as we were in different secondary schools, the days we were together we got on great as though we were never apart!

She loved to do crazy stuff and the crazier the better! Roe never had a bad word to say about anybody, and she could make anyone smile, even when they didn't want to.

A day with out a smile or a laugh, Roe saw as a day wasted! Life was to be lived and she did just that!

She make such an impact on so many peoples lives! She will be sorely missed, but shes up there looking down on all her friends, and every time I see a red balloon I will think of you!!!

My thoughts are with Neonie, Cora, John Brian and Tia, as well as the rest of her family and friends.

    <3<3<3 Miss you Pal! <3<3<3

    99 Red Balloons :)

That's my picture :D thank you for sharing it! (Hope that doesn't sound sarcastic or rude :/ )

The service was so amazingly beautiful, both in Leixlip Church and at Newlands Cross. She would have been so happy to see the amount of people who came from all over Ireland (and other countries also) to come and pay their respects. Roe loved the priest that done the service, he was the best person for it imo.

And as for Cara? My God she was amazing, I was in floods of tears the whole time she spoke, but some of them were happy tears, of hearing my friends beautiful words to describe what a wonderful time she had and her experiences.

I read Tia's poem the previous night and I couldn't help shed a tear, but then when she read it aloud I was in bits. I never knew anyone so young to write so beautifully! Every word was wonderful. I can see so much of Roe in her.

Roe wasn't just a friend to us, she was more like family, like a sister...Well in my case brother as she insisted we called each other brother..even though we are both girls. I will miss my friend so much, but again, I thank her for all of my wonderful memories and for wanting me around to be her friend. She has made me a better person, and this has made me want to turn my life around and be a better more out going person.

I will miss you always my dear brother
    I love you Roe

I didn't know her but just came across this thread. It's an amazing tribute and I'm really sad reading through it.

did anyone hear what happened her friend?

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Her friend is ok now but from what I heard she was going to see a doc when she got back to Jakarta just to be on the safe side. I haven't heard anything back since that so hopefully she is ok now.

Didn't know the girl, by the sounds of it she was a very respected member of the community on Boards and I would like to just take this opportunity to share my condolences and sorrow with her family and friends who knew her, an awful loss to them. My she forever rest in peace.

I never had the pleasure of conversing with her on boards...

A real shame for somebody so young to loose their life like this...

She was a valued poster on Boards and seemed to be decent craic.

It's awful what happened to her, if the drink was the cause I really hope something's done about it. Only a matter of time until it happens again.

She was exactly the same online as she was in real life. Such a powerful presence, hard to believe she was only 21 when she passed.

She loved Christmas, going to the Santa Strike Force beers, she was always so fun of merriment. Gods her poor family having this hanging them all over the the christmas and new years :(

She still pops up on facebook as mutual friends with certain individuals or even sometimes on my own timeline as one of my friends.. Have to take a moment everytime I notice her. It's hard to still fathom how an individual so full of life was taken from us so early in her life. We should all be the better for having known her, she inspires a lot of us still to live life and enjoy the moment. Hope you've having a blast, wherever you are Roisin :)

It was a bit of a shock to see her face on the front of the paper this morning. Hard to believe she's been gone for nearly a year and a half. Gone but not forgotten.

She texted me some of the lyrics of this once, years go, and I had no idea what she was on about! :o

So now I think about her every time I hear the Cure. Not a bad thing, I guess.

It must be awful for Rozabeez's family to lose her at such a young age. RIP also to boardsie Pygmalion who sadly departed earlier this year.

****, I never knew about this.
I was talking to her in the airport before she left for Indonesia, to think she never came back.

How did I miss this last year? I never knew her at all but it seems a huge amount of people on boards did know her personally and online.

If you dont mind me asking, could somebody PM me about what happened to pygmalion? Nothing was ever discussed about it, understandably but it would be nice to know.

She was so lovely online, I wish I'd known her better.

What's that saying? Only the good die young.

    RIP.

And RIP Pyg, I remember when we were DCU freshers together. I still think about you a lot.

I vaguly remembered this from last year but wasn't 100% so did a quick google. Seems it was far from the first case of this sort of thing over there.

Not to be a smart cow here, but that comes across as a really crass thing to ask. I'm sure that wasn't your intention, but I don't think Pyg's cause of death is something that needs to be known by everyone. His friends and family know, and I'd imagine they're more concerned with missing their friend/son right now.

Rip again Roisin, and RIP Paul. I miss seeing Paul in Fibbers. I don't go there often anymore but the odd time I'm there, I expect to see his face and dive on him for a hug like a 12 year old.

    Gone but not forgotten. :(
