    Ha ha, me too!

I'm planning on just eating from Natasha's Living Food or Happy Pear (both were delicious and healthy last year). And for drink I'll have my WW wine for drinking in the camp site and after hours. The rest of the time it'll be pints/cans so we'll see how I get on with that :p

Oh excellent! I really can't wait - although the weather is meant to be awful
    :(

I'm looking forward to trying the food stalls - I ate nothing but falafel at Electric Picnic last year!

Great to hear there are healthy options!
I have red wine with me (in plastic bottles) as I can't really drink anything else and I want to stay away from the cans! :)

I have been back on ww for the past 4 weeks and so far I only lost 6.5lbs, I did ww a few years ago and I seemed to have lost the weight much faster! I am doing vigorous exercises every second or third day, so I am not so sure where I am going wrong, I feel like switching back to the old system, cause I dont understand why bananas have 0 points and how many are we allowed to eat before we start counting the points! I asked my leader last night and he said that it stays 0 points, even after 2 or 3 bananas?? I cant get my head around that.... Anyone have some advice please?:)

6.5 in 4 weeks is still over 1.5lbs a week. The program is designed for 1-2lbs a week so you seem to be on track with that. You have to look at this as a long haul thing and no look for the instant results. I find my weight loss slows down if i go overkill on the excercise, ive no idea why but I seem to lose more when I keep it to regular lighter exercise, so maybe thats what it is. Are you eating all your propoints every day? How are you using your weeklies? Are you using any of the propoints gained from exercise?

On the banana thing - our leader said fruit is free but its not a good idea to eat too much of it as it is full of natural sugars. The plan allows for a certain amount of fruit per day, its not a good idea to fill up on fruit all day long and then have a a big blow out dinner. Use fruit as snacks between meals, 2-4 portions of fruit should be plenty. Bananas are high in sugar and potassium so apart from weight loss, for general health I've heard its not a good idea to have more than one banana per day. How many bananas would you eat per day? I think as long as you arent replacing too many meals with fruit, a breakfast of fruit and yogurt or a dessert of this and a couple of snacks should be plenty.

Thank you for the advice, I am not so sure how many extra points I gain when I exercise! I am currently on the couch to 5k challenge and I am on week 2 so the exercise would be for 30min long, doing 1.30 jogging and 1.30min walking! I only eat 2 bananas on most days! I Dont use my weekly points, so I only stick with my daily points which is 47 now, it was 48... maybe I am not eating enough, but I feel fine every day, was thinking to cut down on potatoes and pasta as I love starchy food, especially pasta!

You may be eating too little - 2 bananas isnt too much ify ou arent having much other fruit though not sure if its too much potassium. Though with the extra exercise and not touching the 49 weeklies maybe too little. I know I get better losses when I use at least half of my weeklies and using all of them never seems to hurt - some of the weeks I've STS or lost half a pound have been when i havent used many/any weeklies. I mean its a bit of an experiement. Try using a few extra weeklies and see how you do with that. Also what has your leader suggested to you? Maybe go through a weeks tracker withyour leader to see if he has any suggestions for you.

    Morning guys!

Hope you're all well. Need a bit of advice. Heading out for dinner tonight and going here on this voucher http://deals.menupages.ie/rolys-bistro-ballsbridge-dublin4-deal.aspx Can see the menu on it and I was just wondering for some suggestions onhow to point it.

Was going to go for the thai fishcakes for starter - read a few places these are 5pp each so thats easy enough (though I would LOVE to try the pigeon, just have no idea how to count that, if anyone knows or has an idea then that would be AMAZING). I then thought the cod would be the best choice as a main. Any ideas what to pp that - i guess it does depend on serving size. Prob be a big piece of cod, maybe twice the size of a WW recommended serve so 4 for that, another 4 for the chorizo, 2 for the butter in the spinich (though I may not eat that or see if they can do it without) and then say 3 for oils??
Then dessert the pavlova - ask for it without cream just merigne and fruit is low enough.

Anyone got any other suggestions based on the meal. Have 42 weeklies left and hopefully will have about 15 dailies too - plus we are going to get one bottle of wine so have to count 9 for that. Would love if i could have a few weeklies left as i wouldnt mind a drink or 2 at westlife tomorrow but I can go without if I go mad today.

    Hi Tiny,

The menu looks amazing - Definitely a dinner to look forward to! :) I found nutritional info on roast wood pigeon which says 100g = 5 pro points so this looks like a good option especially if you'd like to try it! As for the rest of the menu, I think you've got it sussed!! Have a great night!! :D

    Hey all,

Can anyone tell me what shops you find good for ww products. I am in Dublin, bit from Leitrim and heading there this weekend, happy to detour to stock up.

    Particular things I am after

    1. The sausages ( where are they gone, I miss them) could anyone point me in the direction of a low fat pork savage, I know about the mythical hodgins but have yet to ever see them

    2. The cream, would love to give this a go

    3. The naan breads.

Also anyone got any supermarket items that are good finds that they might like to share

The lightly dusted sole in aldi a a winner at 4pp per portion
I get also fat free probiotic yogurts at 2pp each
The aldi low fat cheese triangles are great too
The wholegran toasting muffins from aldi 3pp each
Lidl nimble bread – 1pp per slice
Lidl smoked pork– polish style, little circular disks and only 3pp for the pack. V good flavour

Anyone know the various pp of wraps?
    Also hummus?
What about scones? Are there any low pp scones out there, small ones even?
    Custard, any ideas there either?

    tks guys

I got the cream just this afternoon in my local tesco... I'm not in Dublin, I'm down the country, but if our tesco has it, i would have thought that most of them would.
The sausages... I used get them in Supervalu, but haven't looked for ages... I much prefer Superquinn reduced fat sausages @ 2pp a piece. They're yum.
Superquinn also do ww choc digestives, which are to die for at 1 pp a piece... too easy to eat the lot though, I'll admit that!
I saw ww custard advertised in the ww magazine this month, but haven't come across it yet.. maybe it's on the way!
Aldi chicken burgers are yum, in the orange bag @ 4pp each, and Aldi burger buns are lower than most, @3pp each.
I'm sure I've come up with some other good value bits and pieces, but I can't think of them off the top of my head!
    Have a good weekend!

Boil the veg and stock (about 750ml-1litre) until bubbling and then simmer for 45 mins to an hour. When it has cooled, blend :)

7 weeks to my sister's wedding...eeekk! Can't wait, doing well WW wise lately so gonna try my very best to keep it up! Life is mental at the moment - trying to get my masters dissertation written and then our landlord decides he's going to sell the house we're living in so we have to move out ASAP! GRR! It's a stress I did not need right now! Anywho I won't let it throw me off the WW wagon! I find that I'm dealing with stress better because of all the healthy food. Need to get the exercise going properly again though. Think I'll hit the gym after the library - hope everyone's doing well. Oh and Jwaqui - that brunch has made my tummy grumble so much the guy beside me in the library must think I've never been fed!! :D

that brunch looks divine and just goes to show we can still do this and have the nice stuff but with a bit of thought put into the prep and cooking. on the whole subject of nice meals has anyone a recipe for chinese style chicken balls i've a mad longing for some but won't spend the points on a take away so i'd love it if someone had an alternative

Here comes the weekend! What is it about the weekend that automatically makes you hungrier? I am already down to 20 weeklies and I am going to Westlife tomorrow as well as two lunch dates over the weekend... Haven't got my usual amount of exercise in either. But if I am up on Tuesday it is not the end of the world. I am enjoying life!

That's what I really like about weight watchers. I am down 9.5lbs over 6 weeks which does not sound like a lot but I have not let it affect my social life at all!

    Have a great weekend everybody!

Great thread - lots of great success stories and perseverance in here. I'm a third time around ww, having done at home once, and got to goal at meetings in late 08, did tesco diets after the two kids who were born since, but I've gotten such bad habits and the snacking is atrocious. So, anyway, I'm back at work now and my healthy eating colleagues have inspired me to lose a stone, signed up weds night 11st 13lb. I swear my food tastes better since starting - is it hunger or the new foods? I like it anyway, whatever it is!

Possibly the new foods. I was the same when I first started, enjoyed my food much more because I was cooking tasty meals packed with herbs and spices and natural flavourings where as before I was eating bland, processed, packaged food.

Best of luck with your weightloss journey. If you ever need help with anything, post it up here and someone will have an answer :)

I started 30 day shred yesterday, and did day 2 this morning. I found it pretty tough too, and the sweat just poured off me. Shows how unfit I am. I used 2kg weights, and that was more than enough for my weak arms....
