He didn't want to make a whole song & dance of it from what i've read.

the victims posted the pics on their social networks & once he got to the hospital word got to the press, again maybe through the social networks.

so i don't think he was trying to gain popularity or whatever you want to call it from going there.

obviously it's not going to hurt his image from doing it, for whatever reason made him do it, it doesn't really matter as it's good he went to visit them but there's a good chance it's a coincidence.

like if there was an incident at an olympics event or football match like what happened in colorado you'd expect some of the athletes/players to show up after to visit the survivors in hospital

There was also no word until he was even there. The hospital knew nothing until he had already shown up and started his visits. He didn't make a huge deal of it at all so I think it's probably unfair to make baseless accusations

I know exactly where you come from. Nothing more effin annoying than couples checking in together into places all the time!!! Have two friends that do that and it bugs me soooooooo much!
I mean I have a bf but I don't go around checking him in with me on fb all the time in status updates such as "X with Y on the toilet together" I'm exaggerating here but they do literally update their status and check-ins with similar sort of sh*te. Honestly, who gives a f**k???

Although he has been in the press for loosing his cool, Christian Bale is not a celeb that you would normally associate with jumping on the bandwagon for a bit of positive pr. I think it is highly likely given the severely fcuked up nature of this particular chain of events, that even without the facebook campaign, he would have visited the survivors in hospital.

It's not like he could have just turned up. Despite what spin the press would put on it, the victims could possibly be suffering from PTSD and if he simply turned up, it could trigger a bad reaction in them. No doubt his people talked to hospital staff and the victims beforehad to make sure that everyone was happy to have him there.

To the poster of the quote I quoted, I think you are being super harsh. We don't know the reason why he visited the hospital. Maybe it was nothing more than a pr exercise but I like to think that in a fcuked up situation, he made a few people happy.

This "test your intelligence" thing popped up in my news feed.

One of those stupid puzzle type things, which is about as easy as "2+2=?", yet they get about a million likes and shares, because people think they are oh-so-clever being able to solve the puzzle.

I had a quick look through some of the 266 comments. Most of which were people saying that the answer was C, and bragging about how quickly they were able to work it out (want a Gold Star?)

But there were a couple of gems:

"All of them. Depends which way you're looking at it."

"Trick question the birds eye view of the shape can be any answer depending on what perspective you have of what angle it is"

"Depends which way U turn it so I say it can b all of them same colour pattern is c the way pic at the moment but turn it to ir right its b and so on"

"this is a trick q.... u could be looking at it from all sides and there is a answer for every side you look a"

HOW do these people function in the real world?
