I don't really think posts that are about something normal like hers - congratulating her brother on become a father - are really what should be considered a dumb status, whatever way there written.

checking in at bed or the likes,
posting details of every mundane part of your day,
couples FB'ing each other when their in the one house together,
the attention seeking ones p1"am so píssed off" p2"what wrong hun" p1"can't say on here",
like this or this baby dies kinda posts, etc.
are what dumb statuses/status'/stati ? are not something like what that girl wrote.

it's just seems to be a post that confirms the person posting it here doesn't like text speak, fair enough & you can view the person who posted it as dumb for writing that way, although a lot of people write that way, if you want

but i'd consider a dumb status to be more pointless than dumb status = badly written
