sun is out. seems the snow has dissipated for the time being. hope it gains strength again! we got shafted by the IOM all yesterday and the day before so we deserve a bit of craic up here :p

Any chance of a slight wind change please, All the showers just passing to the south. I can see them passing just a mile away. Cant complain though shocking amount of snow still on the ground from yesterday. Anybody know what the showers will be like coming from the west tomorrow? Are they the same as streamers coming from Irish sea?

3rd year in a row for Parkwest/ballyfermot too. Lots of dry powdery snow here thus morning and light flakes falling.

I honestly hope it ends soon because I'm 32wks pregnant so pretty scary trying to get in an out of work. Took the day off today after a nightmare trek home last night but have to go back in tomorrow. I'm really dreading if we get a slight thaw which then refreezes like last year because that was so dangerous for pedestrians.

Drove from Greystones into Red Cow today. M50 around Sandyford and up towards Ticknock is still icy at this stage but its fine for driving as long as your careful.

its easing here in Clontarf but the clouds that brought it are moving steadily inland. Looking out over the bay there looks to more on the way in too.

Last December and January was just as bad in West Dublin..Blanch/Castlekncok more or less the same amount of snow i.e. 20-25 centmietres on the ground. The same amount fell in 2008/2009:):):)
