Also in Maynooth, measured 15 to 25cm of snow in various places, while avoiding obvious drifts. Still bucketing down.

I'm working from home for the day, so haven't been out to check, but I hear reports that the M4 hasn't been cleared much - anyone been on it?

Several neighbours and my housemate went out towards the train and turned back, having heard of delays on the train services.

M4 is fairly bad from maynooth until lucan/leixlip.

I know at least one train from Kilcock was cancelled, a neighbour went to try and get it and had to come back for the car.

Made it to Santry ok this morning, once I got to the m50 roads were much better.

Maynooth is certainly the place to be for snowlovers today, we've hit a jackpot. Has not stopped snowing for more than 5 minutes.

This is the third time I've gotten up (been checking the window anytime I wake) and it is still snowing in maynooth. Don't reckon it's stopped since 5 this morning! Oh and anyone know anything about the airport, we seem to have had a lot of low flying planes in the area?

I was extremely pee'd off yesterday about Bray Seafronts 1 inch of Hail and Graupel slush. Extremely pee'd off that Bray remained under a tiny 2km wide gap in streamers all day and got virtually nothing out of yesterdays massive east coast dumpings. I was pee'd off that the temps were +3 to +4 degrees and there was a thaw all day and night. Pee'd off enough that I stopped the forum and window watching and watched some tv and went to bed early.

    But you know what?

Somehow I still thought I would wake up today and be surprised by an overnight Dumping in Bray.

    What do I find instead?

Bray is no longer in a gap in streamers. Its in the effing Isle of Man Snow Shadow today after the winds turned more NE overnight.

    F F S !!
