Looks like Raheny/Killester is in the northern edge of the southern streamer , I can see it just about above me , no snow :(

I'm just up the road in Ayrfield and it's been snowing pretty much consistently since about 8:30, only just eased off in the last few minutes. What's Raheny village like, anyway? The AA said there was a lot of ice on the roads this morning.

I see clouds heading into north donegal now ,hopefully make its way down to me.

I watched feckers lke that all day yesterday.. one got as far down as Clar Chapel about 2 miles from me and just vanished... would need to be a massive bank of cloud with real heavy snow to make it across to us

    Whats Friday looking like??

    For lovers of snow.

I lived through the April Fools Day blizzard in Boston in 1997. It was absolutely an historic event. It even has it's own Wiki page!

    http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/April_Fool's_Day_Blizzard?wasRedirected=true

    Go read and be jealous.

    ;)

2 feet of snow in 24 hours. In April.

It was so insane that I was able to walk down Boston's equivalent of the N11 at about 5 PM for an hour, without seeing a car.

    A crazy wonderful night.

Heavy snow in Enfield this morning but eased off in the last hour, snow is now light but steady! The sun came out for a while but he's doing a disappearing act now- waaahheeyy!

Measured 11cm of snow and 25-30cm in some of the many many drifts that have formed around the house and garage :D

Edit: Scratch the "light but steady"... heavy now!

Was in Kildare town an hour ago where it was pelting it down.
Driving home to Monasterevin on the Motorway you couldnt see 20 feet infront and road totally covered in snow yet 3 trucks overtake me at well over 100kph,if they had a wobble God knows what would happen, complete idiots.

A live report from a field in north east Kilkenny...

Very cloudy to my east and north, some snow flurries, snow can be seen lifting and drifting in a freezing wind from an easterly direction.

Just come back in from sledging with the kids.
It measured 7" in my back garden & 9" on the estate green this morning in Castledermot.
Jeep skidded into a ditch across from where we were playing & a few of our larger residents climbed on the tailboard to get the back tyre down to get it out.
Glad I didn't chance driving to work if a 4x4 couldn't keep it straight.
